Hi. Wondering if others would be willing to post the dates of their new stadium seat selection appointments, along with their season ticket holder tenure (in part as a check on the process). I've got 12/5, STH since 2010. And noticed the following from the Build it NOW! thread: Earthshaker 11/12, STH since 2008. willykirk 11/15, STH since 2008.
I remember signing up for my 2008 tickets pretty quick, so, I am guessing that is why I am ahead of willykirk. It looks like they are probably going by the date your account was first activated. I think there were barely 4,000 STH'ers this year, so, anyone that has had them for a couple years or more are probably going to get pretty much what they want.
For this purpose, I made the mistake of being a STH in 2008, but not 2009. I had tickets (in my name) with some of my teammates the first season back, but in 2009 couldn't keep the group together. So just bought single game tickets in 2009. In any event, like you said, if really only about 4,000 STH'ers this year, shouldn't really be a problem getting reasonable seats then.
My spot is on 11/15. I figured that I would get the first day because I signed up for 2008 season tickets in July, 2007 right when they went on sale. Oh well. I think I'm going for the supporters' section. We just returned from KC for the WCQ against Guatemala where we stood in the Members Club. Great view of the field and great atmosphere. I hope the supporters' section and Sections 120 and 121 at the new stadium will match the Kansas City experience.
I just got a letter telling me that my time slot is 11/12 at 1:40. STH as soon as they were available in 2007. However, I have a signed/sealed/delivered contract for club seats that I reserved last July. Maybe I should get an extra set of seats just to be safe?
Hey TS, looks like we got our season tickets at the same moment . We are also scheduled for 11/12 at 1:40. I suspect that all the ticket reps are working concurrently so that each 30-minute window can accommodate about 20 or so STH. In a single day they can probably handle about 300 STH requests. So it will likely take at least 2-3 weeks to go through all of the original 2008 STH.
I was told that your priority is not strictly by who signed up first. That is only on a year by year basis. So all of the 2008 people are in one pool, the 2009 in a second pool. Within that pool the priority goes by how much you spent, so those with more expensive seats go before those with cheaper seats even if that cheaper buy took place earlier.
I was told that they blocked out days in late November due to Thanksgiving and the fact they may be working on Quakes playoff games, so early Dec dates follow mid-Nov dates.
It just kind of hurt my feelings that they don't remember that I already reserved seats. Like I'm not that special to them.
I already reserved club seats, too, but I am also interested in purchasing a supporters "seat." So, I appreciate the opportunity to participate in the queue.
I think they are doing a pretty good job with this... If you have been a STH at any point since 2008.
