Aside from the Timbers and their alts is their any other team that has had their secondary logos appear on their game shirts? (not counting monochrome versions of the primary) EDIT: Forgot the rapids used their circular blue Secondary for awhile.
Does LA's third count?? Not sure since it's not actually a Secondary crest.
Does LA's third count?? Not sure since it's not actually a Secondary crest. View attachment 8756
I wasn't going to count that, (or Seattles Electricity/Portland's Red).....
I'm not sure anyone else has a secondary crest then?? (other than RSL's previously mentioned versions they may or may not use). Toronto also uses an alternate color crest on their current Second jerseys, but it is still the main crest.
The league already invented 3 rules to help LA (the Designated Player rule, grandfathering Landon and Ruiz out of that rule, and then the rule that eventually allowed 3 DPs per team)...clearly this is just another example of the league favoring LA. /typicalquakesfan
Not quite, but I thought it was only a military thing. Unless, that's what the sale of AEG is really about. It's actually a front for a large private militia.
I actually prefer the Chivas secondary logo over their first. The Crew, Sounders, Union, and TFC badges are pretty close to originals. The others aren't much to write home about.
Tell me which of these is an acceptable use for a monochrome flag. 1. Not getting killed while defending America? 2. Trying to make sure Beckham still look cool
Apparently according to "flag code", it shouldn't even be on a sports uniform at all, in full color or monochrome, so doesn't really matter at this point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Flag_Code
If you can't put the flag on your clothes, then how do you prove to everyone that you don't hate America?
I love this jersey. I can't believe how much hatred it is getting. I'd buy this in a heartbeat. Too many good memories of the old days at the Rose Bowl I guess...
hate? really? i thought it was the best from the very beginning ... i really don't see how the other one even has any relation to LAG at all .... that jersey is an awesome redo of the original Galaxy kit. that other thing of baby blue is hideous.
Americans get way too emotional about a symbol. But then, what else is there to unite such a diverse country? Hence the over the top emphasis on the flag, anthem, focus on the military during prominent sporting events, etc. Personally I've never understood it. But then I was raised by parents of different nationalities in a third country, so I am about as non-nationalistic as they come. I still don't get why I should expose my bald scalp to skin cancer while a particular song is played before a sports event. Respect is an attitude of the heart, not some superficial act of removing a protective covering. Thanks for letting me vent. Carry on.
Hey, I'd much rather swear my allegiance to the Flag of New England than that Star-Spangled symbol of, to pick a few states at random, Alabama, Texas, Mississippi, and whatever mudpit they dig Met-No-Stars fans out of
I don't know why, but that Chivas' crest is kinda awesome... Maybe it's because it differentiates the team from its daddy?
