Chris Wondolowski broke the club record for all-time goals after scoring a hat-trick last night. Surely the league MVP and may even break Lassiter's record of most goals scored in a single season. He has 25 goals and several assists this season. ********ing legend.
There have been a few things said by coaches in the PL, and Roy Hodgesen (can't spell), that makes me think that they blame both Ferdinands for breaking some kind of unwritten rule. That racism isn't taken that seriously, but that speaking against your fellow player -- or speaking against your fellow NT player -- is looked at quite badly. So Rio loses his NT spot as a result. Looking at that, I think Ashley Cole would reasonably think that both his club spot and his NT spot were dependent on his saying the right thing. So he did.
Terry illustrates what I have come to hate about BigSoccer. He was the captain of England + Chelsea, yet in both those forums, only Terry apologists are allowed. So oddly, both those forums have passively adopted a pro-racist stance.
"It is accepted by everyone involved in the criminal and disciplinary proceedings that Mr. Terry is not a racist" That's taken from the full written reasons. Quite how it reconciles with the conclusion is unclear.
Something that is quite odd in all of this is that fans who chant racist abuse seem to be held to a vastly different standard to players. The english media is very fast to conclude that east europeans chanting racial abuse are in fact racists, as are people who abuse Mikel on Twitter. Yet this is a conclusion that is not allowed in respect of media personalities.
This clip does nothing but gives clear evidence why the FIFA is relucatnt to have video relays and such. This clip does not show the fourth defender who obviously shot the bastard from the far side of the field with a sniper rifle.
Two three things in general Tiote doesnt look too good this season, he was always a player who relies on his physical ability more than other abilities but this season he has not been even good at that (Such midfielders are not good enough for Man Utd next time somebody brings it up, even Fellaini). Sessegnon and McClean have started very poorly and probably the reason a decent on paper Sunderland attack have been awful (alongside overrated Johnson). Swansea after a good start have halted, mainly because they have been unable to defend at all, Laudrup needs to learn that this league can be awful to compete in at times. West Ham and their route one football have started well, I enjoyed Allardyce Bolton with Okacha being the main playmaker, they despite being direct played some good football but after that his teams have been about the prowress of his CF to unsettle defenses and create gaps. Though I wander if Bolton would take his football over Coyle's. Leicester are doing well in CC after being disappointing since they got promoted to that division, Pearson teams play nice too (Drinkwater has started very well this season), CC is an interesting division a few good teams.
Classic!!!!! I really do wish refs would start giving cards for the obvious simulations. Ignoring them doesn't seem to be having any effect.
The crazy thing about that forum is the personal attacks etc from the trolls who live there are allowed to stand - they don't even get deleted.
Pulis is the biggest hypocrite in the league though. No teams get more decisions in their favour than Stoke.
He's right. It doesn't help that Suarez is a chronic diver but I think the FA and refs are using him as the scapegoat now. Conveniently so. They could easily have used most of the Prem darlings years before Suarez's arrival.
I think it's hilarious. Couldn't happen to a nicer footballer. I think what happens is, the ref sees when an offence has actually happened to Suarez, is about to blow the whistle....but then catches a glimpse of Suarez's smarmy little face...and he just thinks 'what a little ********er' PLAY ON.
It's fantastic if you're a begrudging fan with an appetite for antagonism and quick entertainment but I think this is actually an excellent display yet again of the way racism fuels English ideology in jurisdiction.
Ronaldo got kicked all over the pitch lot more than what Suarez gets, didnt see you sympathizing then.
