Who cooked their own testimony? All I'm seeing is "Ashley Cole. Ashley Cole. Ashley Cole." Who is the person with little or no interest in cooking testimony. The other two entities are JT and Chelsea....they seem to be sliding a bit below the radar at the moment.
You seem to be a bit behind the play. Since the criminal trial, Cole began to remember (not all at once of course) that Anton F had actually inquired as to whether Terry called him a BFC, so that Terry could then repeat that back to him. Funny that.
What I've read is that you can see Cole's testimony evolving, with a bit of assistance from a Chelsea "general secretary". I don't think that Ashley Cole would possibly perjure himself without some reason to do so.....so what would that reason be? See Rio.
Not really. In fact it's almost certainly the other way round, especially when it comes to discussing criminal proceedings before the courts in the UK (you ever advised a witness on a statement, or conducted a criminal hearing?) Cole will have received the very best legal advice before giving a witness statement. He will have been told about the consequences of making a statement. In fact his statement will almost certainly have contained a declaration just before his signature stating that it was "true to the best of my knowledge and belief and that I make this statement knowing that, if it were tendered in evidence, I may be liable to prosecution if I wilfully stated in it anything which I know to be false or do not believe to be true" or words to that effect. No-one forced him to take the stand, he could have just said he didn't hear anything. If he decided to tamper it for anyone else's benefit, he deserves the full blame.
So why would he have done it -- knowing full well how serious it was? There would have to be more there there than they're best buddies. Or teammates.
If you are saying that it is unlikely that Cole lied......then you are saying that A Ferdinand lied. So ask yourself...why did Ferdinand lie?
This. And of course his evidence is evolving from the version he gave at the criminal trial as well. Funny that.
No I'm not saying that it's unlikely that Cole lied....I'm saying that he'd have to have a good reason to do something that serious. More serious that him being buddies with JT. And that you have to look at how Rio's been treated by the England NT to see why that might be.
ronaldos scored in 6 straight classicos doesnt show up in big games. Benzema off the post...should have buried it. Ozil showed up today, his recent "benching" has lit a fire under him, great to see.
