I agree. I believe quite a few of us said as much way back when the rebrand occurred. I am happy to know that they were considering it and appreciate their conservative approach with the original SKC kits. As long as the ownership remains in tact, I think the colors will stay the same. Even if they are bought out, I hope they retain the unique (in MLS) colors.
I'm glad you said that. I was beginning to think I imagined those comments or was simply thinking of the badge.
Even before the rebrand, I voiced my opinion for a two-tone split jersey (similar to the Timbers) to reflect the team/city straddling the state line. Using the actual state line as the split would just be icing.
Yeah this idea has been bounced around a few times. Here's a crude 'shop that I saw posted. I think it would look pretty sweet...
I kinda hope the girl wins just bc she's a girl. I liked the yellow kits. Wow, that's awesome and something that we need more of in this country. I love everything that they're doing. Bravo!
not a bad idea but i think you'd have to push the border further right and up ... it looks weirdly unbalanced that far over to the left imho
New Toronto FC logo? http://news.sportslogos.net/2012/08/17/is-this-the-new-toronto-fc-logo-for-2013/ Blck and white logo registered, site took liberty of applying color (so they could be wrong)
I did read it. Just like the writer of that linked article, I wasn't sure if it was a primary or a secondary. Hence the reason I posted it here and asked "New Toronto FC logo?" Sorry, but I don't follow TFC that much to have known that.
Maybe it would be a good idea for them to do a soft rebrand like a badge change just to get some of the bad vibes out of the team. Something to get players excited again. There are players and coaches who play halfway decent elsewhere and just about die when they end up there. Not that it would actually change the play on the field, but who knows. I like their badge, but that's a pretty nice secondary logo, I especially love their academy badge. That might actually be better than the senior team badge.
Did you? "It’s now confirmed via an email from MLSE Director of Corporate Communication Rajani Kamath that this is indeed just a secondary trademark, used “in a subtle way” for the past season and a half but only just registered now. The current primary remains the primary.
