Oddly enough, the Absolute was the first Pred where there was a huge drop off in quality. I had six pairs rip or blow out with minimal use. One pair's outsole peeled off from the toe in the first 30 mins of use. I am not talking a separation, I am talking full on peeled back to the mid foot.
I had a pair of Absolute indoors that were just terrible. Sloppiest fit in the forefoot I've ever seen in any boot, and they just never broke in.
At least they're recycling some decent looking colorways. I'd rather see them rehash something that looks good than keep trotting out color bombs that make you want head straight over to miadidas!
This time leather looks better than the synthetics. With the ones at the moment, the synthetics look better than the leather.
Looks good but I think they could have done without the extra leather strips they stitched on. At least on the instep.
They do look better man, they look less bulky - they look the same sort of fit st the front as the synthetics do. Does anyone know what leather they are made from? I love the green/black. Which is weird because I didn't like the look of those inthe synthetic version! appleCORR
i cannot wait for those adizeros, i love the leather previous version, the current version stretched wayyy to much for me and do not fit very well still a solid boot. but i think these will blow it out of the water
Right, not been following this thread but since the absolutes have popped back up, I'd like an opinion. I want to get some old predators but what would you say are the best? I love the design of the absolutes and the pulses. But what were the best predators? Mania's? Precisions? Absolutes? Pulse? obviously i cant try them on so how do they fit compared to modern preds? The best fit ive ever had on a pair of boots were the adipower in a UK 8.5. Would you recommend i get a UK 8.5 in old preds or an 8 or a 9? I have some nike CTRs (originals) in a uk 9 and they are a great fit also. Also, are the older preds durable?
Also, were these ever released to the public? I remember back in 07 (I think) when i was in brisbane, there was an adidas store (may have been outlet) that was selling the lower tier versions but that was it
Oh cool! You can see Zizou was wearing the old adidas ortho' cast like shinguards. I used to LOVE those... until mine cracked.
I recently got a pair of Predator Absolado LZ TRX FG. I just needed something not too expensive and these were the cheapest the store had in stock in my size. I had to get it in the Infrared/White color scheme because they were out of the others. I normally wear a US 8 1/2, but have a wide foot so I got them in 9. The side was a little tight at first but by the end of the first game had stretched out enough that it didn't bother me. The toebox had enough room yet didn't seem too big like some size 9s do. I can't really comment on how they hold up yet, but I figured someone might be interested in the fit.
Get some accelerators if you can they were brilliant boots because the fins were quite low in the boot. If you can't get your hands on those my 2nd best would be manias those were iconic boots! They fit pretty true to size and are both made from kangaroo leather. As for durability you won't have a problem the boots were much better made (and cheaper!) back in the day. Shame you aren't a size 6 I could have hooked you up! appleCORR
Truth! My accelerators only had to get retired because of issues of wearing with the studs! Favorite boots EVER! (thanks to nastalgia)
Haha yeh id get accelerators...but i dont fancy paying near 300£ on ebay. Regarding Mania's how can I tell the difference between top model versions and lower tier?
The current line of adizeros in leather, how do they fit in length. I've heard that they stretch a lot in width, but can I go half a size down?
