A lot still needs to be solved.

Left back long term, right back, and a new center back are most important.

    At least 30,000'000€ probably 40

no need to overhaul that much, especially during the winter. it's risky and it's bad for team chemistry. winter and summer windows are very different. we just a new right back during the winter and we'll be fine. no need to go shopping for long term options just yet

RB- I'd love it if we got Basta from Udinese, now he's a quality RB.

LB - I think we can hold out until next summer.

CB - Can't see it happening tbh.:(

The only real thing we need is a pure RB that is established, not some kif from South America on loan to buy.

Another CB would be nice but our focus has to be at RB.

I agree with this. I don't expect much activity in the winter as we already have pretty good depth in other areas. A starting quality RB is priority #1. A CB could be #2 depending on how healthy/dependable our current CBs are. Other than that - I don't see us picking up any midfielders or attackers unless a great deal comes along.

Just splash the cash on Ogbonna and call it a window.

Why? Ogbonna can also play on the outside in a pinch. He would serve two spots for the remainder of the season.

he's left footed and he plays LB. he doesn't fix our RB problem

This is true and it's not a long term fix but if the shit hits the fan and he's needed to play on the outside Balz can switch to the right as he did in the Euros. I realize that this goes against Zeman's philosophy but I'm all about getting the best players on the field.

we have dodo and marquinho who can play LB. and taddei has shown he can play well there (although mostly it was because angel made him look good). and castan can also play LB

    Santon - ??? - Castan - Balzaretti

Santon, a new CB and then we're good.

risky, you never see clubs replacing their starting CB in mid-season. it takes time for CB partnerships to develop and it's not something you want to experiment with in mid-season. even if we get obgonna, a combination of ogbonna-castan will more or less be as effective as burdisso-castan. we should wait until the summer so the X-Castan partnership has more time to develop

Right Back I think is more crucial for Zeman's football.

The way Totti and Balzaretti have been linking is incredible. We need the same or similar on the other side.

CB I don't see it happening, though I'd love it if Ogboner would happen. In the meantime I'd like to see Marquinhos be tried out vs. Burdisso.

Ogbonna I believe is out of Roma's scope. Manu has no issue with Ffp and they can give him a big salary if they want him

Just sign Torosidis already. I've only seen YouTube clips, but he looks like he would fit exactly into Zeman's system and can actually cross the ball. Something we haven't had on the right side in years.

But more then likely we will probably just sign Obiang or another midfielder we don't need.

a regular international RB in his prime? he would be expensive. it'll take torosidis a season to acclimate to serie A, then he'll be good for 2-3 seasons before he declines. not sure if torosidis is the right option here. if we can get him on a cut rate deal i'm all up for it. but i'd rather we not spend €10m+ on such a player

I want an established name to join our defence, none of these South American nobodies where i have to youtube them and watch around 10% of talent.

I agree with whill, just get Torosidis, 1-2 years and Dodo will (in theory) be injury free, so we transition from Torosidis to Dodo. The few glances I saw of him in that last friendly at the Olimpico were godly and people seem to love him. We just need to buy Dodo some time.

Am starting to think Torosidis was never a possibility, a Olympiacos fan at the time we seemed to have signed Torosidis posted that every summer Torosidis threatens to leave and is linked to A, B and C.

I think the only established RB we have a chance at is Santon and the chances are slim there too, the kid seems to like Newcastle so I don't see him leaving so soon
