I'm hoping he can become the first Asian to score in four consecutive WC

It looks pretty obvious to me. I've always seen captains shake hands at those coin toss things.

By that point, if PJS already snubbed him, I doubt Terry'd try to shake his hand again.

holy crap. i didn't know anton ferdinand was rio's brother. i guess im late on this info

    http://tribalfootball.com/articles/qpr-boss-hughes-didnt-expect-park-snub-chelseas-terry-3529161

"Park spent seven years playing alongside Ferdinand's brother, Rio, at Manchester United and it is possible his decision was taken out of some sort of loyalty to his former team-mate.

Hughes said: "They had the discussion and I was made aware that some were prepared to shake the opposition's hand and some weren't.

"I didn't know which individuals and I wasn't going to push the point.

"It was a personal decision for each and every one of them.""

Anton's been in the game for awhile now. Surprised you've never heard a commentator mentioning Anton being Rio's younger brother.

That's because Ferdinand is such a common last name. Would you assume two footballers with the surname of Smith are related?

    OK, I'm just kidding...

It would have been best if Terry had reached out and PJS just ignored it.
