After watching Berbatov these last few games, he really is a goal poacher, and he's going to score a ton of goals, but he simply doesn't move anywhere. He's got amazing touch, and has great ball placement, but he would've never worked out here. He can't just sit at the top of the 18 and wait for everything to be fed to him. He would've failed at Fiorentina, too, but it would've been more hilarious. I'm actually relieved we didn't get him.

That's what I said. There's a guy here I won't name that was blowing his load all over him.

i think he knows that as well...strikers like him can only play in EPL...where they just cross and shoot balls into the box, hoping to catch a deflection into the goal. I see the stupidest goals in that league, perfect for a berbatov, borriello and amauri type players

So in other words you'd rather have Matri? Really?

You said you're glad Juve didn't sign Berbatov. That's the same as saying you rate him below Matri.

Sorry. I didn't realize that you were putting words in my mouth. I am, despite what you may believe, capable of forming my own opinions. I don't really need you to tell me who or what I rate.

So you're saying you're glad Juve didn't sign Berbatov because he's better then Matri? It's either that or the other.

If you don't want people to understand what you're saying what's the point.

I would rather Matri over Berbs. He wouldn't work at Juve just like Toni. I said the same thing earlier.

Fair enough. I'll take talent over hard work any time. Most of the great strikers weren't doing much running.

"Jovetic? It's a positive thing that the player and his entourage gave us the green light in the summer. It is useless to further discuss it. I can only say that we are closely monitoring a number of great players," Juventus' general director said to reporters.

We're not getting Jovetic in the winter, if at all.

Any good players from Ligue1 to consider? If they go through with the 75% tax rate in France, we could see players looking to move.

I like Lisandro Lopez, and I think he would do well here. If Lyon miss the Champions League again, I would like to see us make a move for him. Two other players that are very good, and will probably be sold by Ligue 1 clubs is Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila and PSG's Mamadou Sakho. Both players are only 22, but M'Vila looks like the more likely to move. PSG may want to hold on to Sakho, but he was getting serious first team minutes last year, and now he's been overtaken by Thiago Silva, and he's been relegated to the bench.

Lopez won't come as a cheap transfer solely because he's one of the best strikers in Ligue 1, and he's also been a captain at Lyon. Rennes will be looking for serious money for M'Vila, but I think he could be had for around 12m. Rennes may try to stonewall any move that they deem less, but M'Vila desperately wants to move to a bigger club. Sakho hasn't said that he wants out, but he's considered to be one of France's best centerbacks at only 22. He won't come cheap, but it would be nice to have him, as he's going to be good for a long time.

Didn't they ask Arsenal for 27m in the 2 year old M'Vila transfer saga. I haven't seen too much of him, I know he did balls for France in the EURO.
