Do you think that it's an insurance plan?

First, it sounds like you're admitting that, indeed, you thought "Obamacare" is a government-run insurance plan.

Second, re: employers dropping coverage... for the past day, many of us in here have been trying to explain to you the obvious contradiction in your argument that employers might drop coverage in the future, when doing so requires that they pay a fee, versus now and in years past, when there was no fee, no requirement whatsoever that they ever offer healthcare coverage to employees. You've been making the rather bizarre argument that employers would pay to do something tomorrow that they can do for free today.

Which gets us back to point one: You seemed to be implying that the reason why employers might choose to pay a fee for something in the future that they can do for free now, was because they could just dump those employees onto "Obamacare."

But there IS no "Obamacare" insurance coverage. Only PRIVATE health insurance exchanges.

And regarding the Administration's duty to better explain the details of the ACA, since when did you cease becoming a supporter of personal responsibility? The right has worked pretty damned hard selling the ACA as (see if this sounds familiar) a "government takeover of healthcare" when, in fact, it is no such thing. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that you're not big on questioning Republican talking points.

And then a half an hour after that it was the truth... Then a half hour after that it was not the truth... And then a half hour after that it was the truth again... Then a half hour after that... Heck, you get the point

So what you are telling me is that employers will NEVER drop health insurance and push their employees to Obamacare?

Posted above is an article that says otherwise.

In the Washington Times article it says seven percent of workers could lose their coverage by 2019. It also says that one in three companies may look at dropping coverage if they have to offer better coverage that they are offering now.

A link proving your point would be good.

So it is NOT a government takeover of healthcare? Government in no way, shape or form is involved at ALL?

It is not an insurance plan.

These two sentences don't describe the same state of affairs. There are points on the spectrum between 0 and 100.

Medicaid. That's the program for poor people, and it's a state-federal partnership. Medicare is for old people, and is only a federal program.

    God God, man, you're hopeless.

No, I am not saying that an employer will never drop healthcare coverage.

I would say, however, that under no circumstances will an employer drop healthcare coverage "and push their employees to Obamacare" because THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS "OBAMACARE" TO PUSH THEM ONTO.

That pretty much sums up the complete posting history of Schapes. Because Obama's presidency isn't flawless, it's a failure and he has to go. Because the ACA isn't perfect or universally admired, it's a failure and has to be overturned.

My guess is that when a Republican is in the White House, numbers between 1 and 99 will get more of a workout.

Actually in this transcript of The Today Show from February 2, 2009. President Obama said he will be held accountable. If the economy isn't turned around in 3.5 years, his presidency will be a one term proposition.

You heard it from the President himself. Not me.

Yo do realize that "turned around" relates to direction and not location? As in - We were heading downhill and now going uphill.

Now where's that damn graph on job loss/gain per month?

I've found that to be so much easier that re-educating every fucking retard who regurgitates falsehoods and theories that have been debunked a hundred times already.

"No high rise steel frame structure ever collapsed by fire before WTC 7!!!!!1111111ZOMG"

Previously, no high rise steel frame structure ever had half of another building fall on it, setting it ablaze on multiple floors in multiple locations and had it's fire sprinkler system wholly compromised.

"No high rise steel frame structure has collapsed by fire since WTC7!!!!!1111111ZOMG"

Since WTC, no high rise steel frame structure has had half of another building fall on it, setting it ablaze on multiple floors in multiple locations with the resultant damage compromising the building's fire sprinkler system.

No. No, I'm sad to report there never will be Obamacare. There will be changes to the way health insurance is purchased and funded, but we will obtain insurance from private companies and continue to see regular doctors.

    NO.

There is no government-run insurance program created by the ACA.

Obama, and a great many of us in here, wanted there to be - the so-called Public Option - but it was removed from the law in order to get the 60 votes needed for it to pass in the Senate.

What we're left with are those health insurance exchanges that are market-places where people can buy private insurance policies; something you refer to as "Obamacare" and seem to think equates to a government-run insurance program.

I don't know what else to say to you about this. The whole 'government takeover of healthcare' myth has been on a lot of pants on fire lists because it's totally untrue. Can't you get that through your thick head?

Does turned around mean 23 million unemployed/underemployed?
Does turned around mean 16 trillion in debt (when President Obama said he would cut the defecit in half by the end of his first term). He better get going.
Does turned around mean forty straight months of unemployment over eight percent?
Does turned around mean spending a trillion dollars and saying unemployment will not go over eight percent - and it has been well over.
Is turned around unemployment at 7.9 percent when he took office - now still at 8.1 percent.
Turned around gas prices at 1.80 per gallon when he took office, now, 3.75 a gallon.

Well, if that is your definition if turned around - then I guess it is turned around. My definition of turned around is not.

Couple things - President said deficit would be cut in half by end of first term. Also said - unemployment wouldbe 5.1 percent by July 2012 with stimulus. Oops.

Prove your point with a link. Show me where it says in the Affordable Care Act government will not be involved at all.

There you go threadjacking... I know you require special attention so I'll break this thread down... this is for grievances against Obama not 9/11. For whatever parroted rhetoric you wish to share on 9/11 go to the right thread - https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/threads/9-11.1974757/page-2#post-26455865

Again, prove your point. Show me a specific line in the Affordable Care Act that proves your point.
