Higuain is going to cost more then €20m. Meaning he would be a bad choice for Juve according to Marotta.
Juventus have decided against signing a world class player for the next three years and to make sure it doesn't happen the club has extended Marotta's contract until 2015.
Juventus want to sign United's winger Nani and Arsenal forward Theo Walcott. What do you think? To be honest, it is a toss up for me as it is the same old question. If we bring in these players, what happens to the players that we have on our team? I know we are trying to add a piece of the puzzle with each transfer market, however, there has a to be a time where we clean house of the dead weight. I know we have tried with some success this summer, but if we were to bring in these 2 players plus a top forward, then we definitely need to look at our squad and see what the next chess move is. I would love to have Nani on our team, but will he fit in out formation of 3-5-2? Maybe he would, but who sits? There is no way we would want to sit Asomoah as he has been a beast so far. Also, if we where to throw Nani in for Lich, that could be a defensive liable (kinda like how Elia was). Although, Nani would bring some creativity and flair to our attack. As for Walcott, he reminds me of a Giovinco type player. Therefore, one of these plays would have to be happy coming off the bench as there is no point playing both of them at the same time. I am more of a believer that you need players that fit your system more than you need players that look good on paper.
Neither are the type of player we need. We need wing-backs and strikers. Not wingers.* Walcott for nothing would be nice though. Nani is going to cost more then €20m so he won't be signed. *Unless of course we are dropping the 3-5-2. Both Walcott and Nani fit well in a 4-3-3. That's what I read in the Gazzetta article. I don't doubt it. They saw Llorente as a bargain at that price given that his contract is expiring. Again, I don't necessarily regret not signing him. I think he is only marginally better than our current strikers.
I don't know why people think that we can get Higuain. He is still a fixture at Real-and we sure as hell wont offer enough to pry him away.
You love Boakye! I do think he will be a good striker. I just don't know if he will be one in the very near future. But again, we have seen players rise quickly as well.
I have a feeling he will end up at City as part of a Aguero transfer. We obviously have no chance since €20m won't cut it.
Guillem Balague broke down the Ronaldo situation on this weeks Revista De La Liga. He explained that 5 months ago Real Madrid's chairman had a meeting with Ronaldo's agent and he suggested Real gave Ronaldo a new contract, but Real's chairman said they were not in a rush for that. 3 months ago Ronaldo said he would like to stay at Real forever, but that it was not up to him. On Saturday before the game with Granada at the Santiago Bernabéu, Ronaldo met the chairman and insinuated that he wasn't happy at Real and that he felt he wasn't treated properly and that he would leave Real if he continued to feel they were treating him like that. However he never gave a reason as to why ge wasn't happy or felt he wasn't being treated properly by Real. That's why he didn't look that into the match and he didn't celebrate either goal, as it was his form of making his sadness public. Guillem says that it's just Ronaldo trying to orchestrate Real to offer him more money.
