Huracan moving to the first division is highly unlikely and actually they will have to battle not to go to a lower division.

Which is why he should take up the offer from some of the Primera clubs like Boca. The problem is the club or whoever holds his rights just see the dollar signs and not what is best for his development and in future for the seleccion.

We've seen it too many times with kids running off to Europe and coming back broken or having to rebuild their careers again. A little patience can reap great rewards.

Hopefully Icardi is still on the radar of the u20 side. He seems to have sorted his head out.

Juts saw that on mundoalbiceleste twit:

Once Barcelona target, Argentine left-back Nicolás TAGLIAFICO (Banfield) has joined Atlante (Mexico)

    Another promise goes bust...

Well Banfield were not going to sell him to another club in Argentina. Plays in Mexico for a couple seasons(at the most) and goes, better than going to Europe right away and sitting on the bench. Plus Mexicans sides probably can play a little more than what Euro sides will. Have not looked into what the deal is worth. Don't think it's anything official.

Make no mistake though, once a player goes to Mexico or elsewhere that isnt the big european league, he disappears off the NT radar.

There have been a couple of exceptions though: Chelito Delgado, Hector Zelada, Hernan Cristante.

Well, I don't think he will stay in Mexico long if in fact if he is going. He is well known, so I don't think he will fall off the radar.

He impressed again. That means for the first time in a while there is some depth to the prospect pool at fullback. Throw in Ansaldi and young Gino Peruzzi as well.

As for Nicolas I despair of who advises these kids. Was it his decision ? Or is it those who have a share in him that decided their bank balance is more important than seeing the kid develop to his full potential.

The Mexican League is improving but it's not the place to advance one's skills. He needs to be playing against tough opposition in order to improve himself and form a reputation.

Few European clubs scout the Mexican League. Yes he has time on his side but like so many other kids he'll end up wasting one or more seasons of vital development time. If he made a smart choice he could end up in La Liga or serie A at a midtable side and build from there. Many players have done it like Redondo at Tenerife.

Valencia will be looking for a leftback this summer as Alba leaves. Why not fill that vacancy ?

Atlante. The name rings so many bells..... o_O

Well, it's more about La Volpe, he was with Banfield last season and knows about Nico. La Volpe was also a Banfield GK years ago. So, he clearly knows about him and now manages Atlante .If he does go, at least he is going to be in Cancún :D. But I agree, our top prospects should be staying as long as possible within Argentina, but there is nothing we can do about it. I mean, clubs selling players to each other(mainly good players and top youngsters) does not happen. We have the young players which is up and coming.

Again, it's not official, so lets see what happens.

Looks like the U20 side played and lost to Brasil couple days back, 1-0. Didn't catch the game, did anybody?

Since we won't be in the Olympics this time around, I guess we can can sit back and watch the last game we played, Gold Medal game vs Nigeria in 08.

Oh, another little treat(if you are that bored), Argentina-Brasil from the Olympics as well.

Juan Sanchez Miño... This kid has a massive potential. Left-footed, exquisite technique, he seems to be able to play in almost every part of the left side of the field (meaning he can play LB or left midfielder). I'm sorry but i would take him over Guinazu anyday.

This kid isnt going to last long at Boca...
EDIT: If he can maintain and actually improve his game and stay injury free, Sanchez Miño will be there in 2014. He has massive potential and frankly between him and Guiñazu, there is no comparison possible.

that kid looks quite stunning, right foot, left foot and a header. He only has 3 caps so far
But, he actually looks like 12 years old :p

That was superb control from German. A striker would have been proud of that finish. I hope Almeyda starts him every time. He has shown this sort of technique throughout his career. He is a leader and if he carries on his form from the age group sides he is a world class defender in the making.

Carry on son I have high hopes that this is the new leader of the backline for Argentina in years to come.

One LB to follow for the future is Emanuel Mas. Playing at San Martin de San Juan. A very interesting prospect.
