Alright, im gonna start. I am really keen on the new CTR Colorway (white/neon), and are looking for a new training boot to supplement my Vapor VIII match cleats. However, i was also looking into the LZ, does anyone have good/bad experiences with the CTR 3 ? I sold my previous pair CTR2 Elites as the dampening pods got too much in the way, when dribbling, etc. Anyone up for advice is the new CTR360 worth it?
if the dampening pods were the problem, then well the new CTR's are great for ya. Feels alot like Kangaroo leather, and the stud configuration is absolutely wonderful. The pass pad is abit crap and takes some getting used to though. might wanna consider the trequeristas. Both use Kanga-lite but the Tres don't have those fins on the pass pads.
going back to the potential future GS release - those who bought the limited number bought the 'concept' GS, so I guess thats like the testing model almost - arguably like having a player test model of a boot
Hey everyone! I had a quick question regarding Vapor III's. I was wondering if there is any way possible to mend the teijin upper if it tears. The upper of my right boot on the outer right side tore from the seems...would any tape help fix it, or would I have to take it to a repair shop? Thanks a bunch!
marsh- take it back a get a new boot, why tape it? my new season starts next week and im stuck with my sf3s, i think it is probably the worst of the sf line!
Thanks for the feedback! I want to fix them if possible because THEY'RE AMAZING. Argon Blue vap's...can't beat 'em =) And who would buy it any ways if I sold it...unless they knew they could fix it lol.
They fit about the same CTR dampening pods don't really feel that different from the rest of the boot imo, definitely less in your face than the CTR2s. The pass pads, compared to the CTR2s, cover much more of the instep and is more grippy than the pad on the CTR2s, which i think has a better pass pad. The CTR3s pass pad is definitely something that i needed a little getting used to, but the LZ will need some getting used to as well because of all the rubber. Regarding durability, they are probably about as durable as the CTR2s, maybe a little less because the new Kangalite is softer and stretchier. I've had mine since they came out and they are *kind of* splitting from the soleplate, but it's a nonissue right now. I think the CTRs are overall more comfortable and a better option than the LZs.
On the college squad that I coach there are two kids with the new CTR's one in black and the other in yellow. The yellow ones are about two weeks old and they look like crap at this point they are scuffed to no end, from both the turf putting black all over the upper and then every cleat mark that is treaded across the upper has left a red scuff or a grey-ish mark. The player that has remarked that he wished he would have bought the black model. The black model in use on my squad is about a week old and there are some noticeable contact scuffs in the same grey-ish color but that is it. I am not usually one to remark about scuffing, as boots are meant to be worked and worn, but the yellow went from a bright and explosive color to a dull and mucked up colorway very fast. The existing yellow that isn't ruined serves a highlighter of sorts for the black marks.
Picked up a pair of the Trequartista 3's in yellow/black with the AG sole myself today. Couldn't believe how hard it was to find them with the AG soleplate in a major city like Toronto. Nike certainly has no love for Canadian soccer players - the sport doesn't appear on the Canadian website and they never replied to my emails or tweets. I found what I believe is the only store (Golazo in the Hershey Centre) in the Greater Toronto Area that carries AG-soled shoes. Anyway, now that I have them they appear to be very well constructed, are light and not that far off the Maestris IMO. Will play on Friday for the first time with them. I'll report back on durability too. I take very good care of my boots and clean them all the time.
OMG, Ive been looking around all of Toronto for a pair of those in AG, Svp had only the maestri and the treq in fg, basically no option of ag. Where is the store that you found it at and do you know if they have any left in 10 (maybe 9.5 too). How much? I am dying for a pair of those!
www.golazo.ca. It's located inside the soccer arena that's part of the Hershey Centre in Mississauga. They're $110. Sorry, don't know what sizes they have in stock. Give them a call.
Are the yellow trequartista 3's prone to scuffing on the upper? They don't have the ACC which the maestris do and are apparently the reason they can get scuffs so easily
I wonder why we havent seen any pics of players training in MVIX's as yet seeing as their out in january!
Littlewoods (catalogue) are now displaying pictures of the blue/orange colourway in the vapors as well as some orange colour in the lasers. So those 2 colourways must be out pretty soon? appleCORR
http://www.ebay.com/itm/NIKE-MERCUR..._s_Athletic_Footwear&var=&hash=item3cc7ab92e1 do these seem legit cus i dont want to get ripped off
the flywire looks really pronounced, you should ask for more picks esp of the insole and sole of the boot. Those are tell tell signs of fakes.
I dont know if they are a CR7 colourway, they are the baby blue colourway with a mango tick. I think they look really good. I'm surprised they have them advertised when PDS don't. appleCORR
