Sunderland vs Liverpool FC. 15 September. Matchday 4
So here we go again building on our one point advantage over Mighty Southampton and hoping that QPR don't score 2 goals more than us......
I thought I'd start this thread early. All the other threads are jammed up with the pissing, moaning, finger pointing, mean spirited sarcasm, everybody hates us, juvenile in fighting and name calling of a high school league.
Time for a fresh match with fresh spirit and ideas. A place for you to select the team. Copies of such will be sent to BR for his final input. He does appreciate the help in this though.
    Predictions welcome

Don't worry! This one will have all that, too, by page 3. ;)

I think we will win this one. 2-1.

Borini and Suarez with the goals.

In. Hoping BR puts on of the kids on the bench instead of three defenders.

Team sheet won't come until the internationals are over.

MON and the Stadium of Fright crowd won't make this easy. Hopefully we leave the beach ball home.

But why not start a run of good results?

Gonna be interesting. The change of pace when possession changes from one team to the next is going to be extreme. Full backs and CB's need to be smart for this one.

I can see us controlling the game. If we can manage their counterattack, we have a good chance of winning. I say foul as soon as possession is lost (unless it's lost right outside our own box). Make them take freekicks from their own half and slow the transition from their defense to their attack.

I'm liking it right now. Gives us all the opportunity to settle down after the Arsenal match.

i think we'd all like gerrard to play up front. but, i'll believe it when i see it.

although, i never thought rodgers would start sterling and coates in the city match, so he might have a surprise up his sleeve.
