I think this club is unbelievable. How many seasons and how many lost trophies it will take them to realize they need to get some decent defenders....?

Look at Antlers: as central defenders they have Iwamasa, Inoha and lee Jung-soo... on the right side Uchida and Gilton...

    Oh well,

I'm guessing at least one more season and at least one more lost trophy.

To be fair, I think we've upgraded at left back with Komiyama (not that I disliked Murakami, but he was more of a utility player than a defender). The calamitous centre-back pairing of Terada and Igawa is a thing of the past (barring a benchful of injuries) and I thought the Kikuchi/Ito axis looked reasonably solid last year (although they did benefit from having a dedicated holding mildfielder in front).

And then we have your good friend Mori...

Don't get me wrong: I would like Frontale to win a title, for a change. IMO, Ito is OK, Kikuchi and Terada overrated.

Please somebody explain me why Frontale grabbed Inamoto rather than a Mato, a Chiyotanda or a Lee Jung-soo...

Same reason Yokohama signed Shunsuke. Its all a marketing issue, and Frontale probably DO need the money.

On a somewhat related issue, those of you who have stayed up all night studying the J.League TV schedule in depth (as Im sure you all did) may have noticed that NHK Standard is carying only a handful of matches this year, almost all of them top-level J1 derby clashes or potential title-affecting matches.

. . . and then theyre also covering two J2 clashes, live.
The ones between Yokohama FC and Consadole Sapporo :confused::rolleyes:

Perhaps signing Nakayama wasnt so bad afterall then:cool: The more publicity Consadole gets, the better. And Im sure he can teach some of the younger players at Consadole a thing or two as well, although he might not necessarily strengthen the team as a player.

Yeah, I can't understand why the team fell apart in the last half of the season.

    Not sure either.

I mean I understand that new coach Naoki Soma gave them the boost early on, however no idea why they fell so drastically in form.

Well, Kawasaki lost a lot of key players, notably Chong Tese and Kawajima, after the 2010 WC and they weren't able to replace them

Better than ever for them. Tasaka went to Bochum for free.

No, but they could win EC this year. Today they were good and Okubo has living a second youth since he came to Kawasaki.

Frontale uses Hiroki Ito for a strange social media promotion. Chong Tese advises him to seek new employment. :D
