The Brasileiro schedule is terrible. Two games around a Fifa fixture weekend? It encourages teams to find players who aren't quite good enough to get called into their national team's camps.

 

Exactly we have to at this point me and you have been questioning him pretty heavily since the brasileirao started. Hes failed to get anything out of the bench players and I'm still not happy with the adriano/arouca pairing if Neymars out especially. Patitos pretty much been average at best I was expecting a lot more to be honest.

 

aiiii I see what you are saying but I'd rather have the calender how it is because I enjoy the games during june, july and august. However I don't think its the most conducive schedule for star and veteran players. One thing I like about this league is the young players, with a less packed schedule I think they would see less opportunities.

No other league (in any sport) in the world would let its premier player miss 1/4 of the season for national team duty. It's insanely bad business, especially in a league with poor attendance (averaging under 12k/game last I saw).

 

Actually thought we looked better than we usually play without Neymar, but that might have been down to Flu being a bit off the pace.

Bakaman I liked the part where we could have gotten Ruidiaz on a free and the club didn't want him.

 

Ganso is done man.

Sad to see it, but it's the truth for quite some time now - we need to cut our losses and sell him for what we can right now, cause his value will just continue to decrease.

 

The finish to the game made me hoarse. Such great goals too.

On the Ganso thing, I'm just glad the saga is over. It was boring me to no end.

 

To be honest I don't have any hard feelings to Ganso.

I think the club really did mishandle him, if it wasn't for the injury he would get his contract that frankly he deserved. For this edition of Ganso this, no one can blame the club not wanting to pay so much for. Looked like a corpse on the pitch.

When he was at his best he was my favorite player in the world, bar none. I will always root for his type of unique players - hopefully he'll regain his form somehow in Sao Paulo - just not when he faces us.

Felipe Anderson again showing how hot and cold he is - last 2 games he's been dreadful.

And this is an outrage that Bruno Peres wasn't invited to the Argentina games - best rightback in the league together with Marcus Rocha, not even a contest.

 

well, Grêmio will probably be in next year Libertadores, while it seems São Paulo wont (although its true there is still a lot of championship ahead to say anything for certain).

plus the Arena.

the two could be attractives to Ganso AND the investors. Plus the fact that Santos doesnt want Ganso at its paulista rival.

however, Delcir Sonda is a friend of Fabio Koff. Fabio Koff is running against Paulo Odone for the Grêmio presidency, with elections this september.

Its hard to see Sonda putting Ganso at Grêmio BEFORE the elections, since that obviously would help Odone against Koff.


Koff has the ample preference of Grêmio supporters, but he must reach the 2nd round of elections to get direct votes from associated supporters. To reach the 2nd round he must get at least 20% of Counsil votes.

Maybe DIS will buy Ganso from Santos but will NOT send him anywhere until the result of the 1st round of Gremio elections. IF Koff passes the first round, its almost certain he will be the next president, due to ample support from associates, then Sonda would put Ganso at Grêmio.

Its over finally. I don't know how I feel about the move Ganso has been one of my favorite players for the last three years. I hope for his sake he finds some form and can stay on the field more often. Lets hope we get someone to replace him it won't be easy.

 

Everyone knows the rules going in that is why no one here has made excuses for Santos. What do you want to do not have Brazilian teams focus on the libertadores or Sudamericana? I personally enjoy the state championships too but I am with the minority on that. As a Selecao fan I can live with players missing games in the Brasilerao, not that I'm happy with it. I will admit it has been a little crazy this year especially with this upcoming match with Argentina and the friendly with Sweden right after the Olympics. As you can see Selecao needs all the practice time it can get and the league calendar is to cramped to accommodate international match days. Who really cares about other sports and leagues? Its not comparable because the calendar here is completely different.

 

So we got 9 mil euro for 45% of his card?

Brilliant piece of business to be honest considering the entire situation and his injury problems.

I wish him the best personally. So sad to see how his career turned out looking back at how exciting it was pre-injury in the 2009-2010 season.

This is the Ganso I will always remember

 

Neymar FC with another win. It's the same script every week: play like crap and then get saved by Neymar. Muricy has to go. This isn't a team, it's a one man show, and Neymar is suffering from it. I'm actually glad he's suspended for the Portuguesa game. If only Mano wouldn't play him against Argentina.

lawsonishere: I think our problem with the State Championships is that Muricy doesn't know the meaning of the word "rotation".

 

Neymar should seriously start thinking about getting the ******** out of Brazil for his own good.
I said it before more lightly - but we're really damaging the kid playing him 1001 different competitions and games without any rest whatsoever.

I feel for him, cause he has to suck it up and play no matter what and he does so in a great way - but you can see the wear and tear on the kid and as much as we joke about him being made of rubber and is somewhat of a bionic person in terms of fitness - there's just no magic in life - the huge burden he takes on his body now will just haunt him later.

 

Stat of the day: We're in the 25th round of the Brasileirao and that's only Neymar's 9th game.
