Thinking about using my wildcard. Hazard can't carry the rest of these slackers all season, especially since Chelsea don't play this GW :(

The way Hazard has been playing I expect him to score, get an assist and 3 bonus points this weekend even though Chelsea don't play!

Considering Wildcard but will take a 4pt hit, for now...

    Googledocs have been updated.

    ChrisSuttonsSlippers

    Player Out - Given - G - AVL - 5.0
    Player In - Jaaskelainen - G - WHU - 4.5

    Player Out - Park - M - QPR - 5.9
    Player In - Benayoun - M - CHE - 6.3

4pt pen. (unless wildcard comes into play)

Sorry Shay, PL ain't working his magic so far at a stuttering Villa and it seems to be effecting all the players, including yourself

I will be making more moves too, but may wait until the window is closed.

I have convinced myself they are not panic moves as VdV is headed for Hamburg so I have to find a replacement right?

I was going to wait as well but figured I'd grab the few players I did want before someone else did. Hate to use the WC this early but I'd be taking like a 12 point hit at this point. Freaking Dempsey is killing my bottom line. Never thought this ordeal would drag out. Mind calling someone at Anfield for me and telling them to sack up and help me out?

You better pray they don't railroad him into joining Villa

Yeah I almost grabbed a couple of players last night but decided to hold off. It is gonna be hard though, I doubt I will wait until 11pm BST as I leave work 30 minutes before the window closes. So I either make some moves before I leave work this afternoon or I do some late night dealings tonight before going to bed. Or both!! :)

FPL have stated that no players signed after 12pm today will feature this weekend. So players such as Moutinho etc will be added later next week at some point.

That's what I am doing. Now that I've played my WC I am playing around with different transfer ideas as I know there's no penalty. The WC along with having no students on Fridays are a bad combination.

No way he agrees to go to Villa. I would welcome it though as at least there would be no competition for his spot. However I think it's Liverpool or bust for him. No way Villa spends 15-20 that it'll take to get him.

Correction on my transfers...Berbatov not officially at Fulham yet. My still go to another club. Technically should still be listed as a Manchester United player.

Berbatov and Petric is a potential wicked strike force. That's a top Europa League pairing, and a respectable champions league one. Very very good pick-ups @ Fulham. My concern is can they afford it or will they go the way of Leeds United??

Maybe but they looked awful against West Ham.

Made some pretty sweeping changes to my squad on this Labour Day long weekend (Canada).

Spurs purchased Lloris, so he'll take over for Friedel. So that's an intra-club swap transfer I've done there.

Maicon will go into heavy rotation for Mancini, especially with Richards hurt. So I brought him in.

Here's where it gets funky! I brought some players in, took them out, brought them back in. This wasn't out of doubt, it was because I either (a) forgot someone else I wanted and needed the bank, or (b) couldn't get a player I wanted.

Out: Adam Johnson (this one hurt and is a reason I wish we had option of 6 MF
In: Hernandez - taking a chance on this one but I think it'll go really well with Michu, De Guzman and all the passers there.

    Out: Simpson (injured)
    In: Maicon
    Out: Enrique
In: McAuley (not that I am particularly interested in him but he'll play, and he's cheap...he's a sub mostly despite his early scores)
    Out: Reid (WHU)
    In: Barnet
    Out: Barnet
In: Reid! haha....(don't ask! pseudo-explanation above)

    Earlier transfers this week:

    Out: Saha
    In: Mirallas
Out: Ryan Taylor (injured - he was a foundation-pick for me, so this one hurts)
    In: Reid
    Out: De Guzman
    In: Granero

....this is a pick-em. De Guzman will get assists, but Granero....too enticing to pass-up and he's cheap cheap cheap!

I'll tip my hat here....Holt-Cisse-Mirallas doesn't inspire confidence in me.....Cisse was huge last year but not scoring yet this year. Nor has Holt.....and Mirallas is new. Big gamble up front.

My GK are potentially outstanding, my top defenders are as likely to get goals/assists as they are to concede 3 goals in a game and my "lesser" defenders are unpredictable. My MF seems quite solid though, especially with YaYa and Valencia already picking up goals/assists. Granero, Hoilett, and Hernandez will be the X-factor.

Shouldn't some of the those transfers be in pre-gameweek 4 rather than gameweek 3?

^I dunno. My wildcard use meant there was no penalty points....?

I am not referring to penalty points it is just a bit confusing having transfers from one gameweek in the same thread as transfers for the next game week

See below: Coach Wiggum's transfer for Di Santo was in the gameweek for last weekend, then your for Mirallas is for the next gameweek and all the transfers after that... make sense?

Posted by Coach Wiggum on 01 Sep 5:08

I have created a new thread for pre-gameweek 4 and put those done after the deadline on Sat. morning in the new thread

and then added a transfer of my own because I am an addict ;)

    Your post makes sense.

1 - I can't be bothered to create a new GW transfer thread
2 - I just kept them in one place as they applied to the same WC....

Anyway.....I prob did all that work and it won't improve my team much at all!
