With the relegation of Rangers the league is going to struggle. Celtic are the one big fish in a pool of minnows and it is difficult to see how a player will get challenged week in and week out.

Ah that'll be fine, there's plenty of bars who'll show the game live. As long as you don't behave like idiots no-one will give you any trouble.

I think the scottish league isnt as straight forward as people think. Some teams are capable of causing upsets, but more importantly WHEN Celtic walk it this year, im 100% they will look to go into the English Leagues. and considering that such teams as Cardiff and Swansea are in there i dont see how they can be refused entry.

Sure. Celtic pay more than us too, probably. I just think the Dutch league in general is far more attractive from a young player development point of view. Also from a preparing for the next step up perspective.

Just a question from our forums: Is public transportation included in the ticket, ie can you travel for free from Hengelo to the stadium if you have a ticket? (It is customary in Germany, even though I haven't seen it anywhere else, but the NL sometimes copies stuff from us, so I ask).

Nope! But on matchday the trains are loaded and it's impossible to check tickets.

By the way the stadium you want to go to is called Enschede Drienerlo. It's right in front of the main stadium entrance.

Feyenoord fans look away now, Cabral in the Grolsch Veste next to the Epy Drost sculpture.

Confirmed: Boyata to Twente on six month loan. Bit weird that, the six months part, but I guess it has everything to do with Bjelland's injury.

I think it's a 1 season loan, but City have the option to take him back during the winter (highly unlikely unless he doesn't play enough).

All I know is that solo dribble by Tadic in the first half against Bursaspor would have been incredible if it had been finished by a goal.

It was a thing of beauty.

That's right. I'm sure he'll get playing time but not so sure he'll be a starter. We've got options now. Braafheid could also play along side Douglas in central defence so that Schilder (who's done great so far as a left back) can stay put. We'll see how they all develop.

I'm cracking up over the fact that David in the end couldn't agree terms with Fulham. He himself says he didn't pass his medical but we know better... I hope he's learnt his lesson and settles at Twente now.In a way this might have saved his career.

Awful game today (no surprise following Thursday's 120 mins), still got a win (reminiscent of league winning season hehehe). Two weeks off now, Chadli likely to be back soon, new signings redy to play soon too. Top of the league and it's looking good!

I was watching the Liverpool/Arsenal match which was pretty much a waste of time. Was the penalty call at the end of the match legitimate. Serious question as I didn't see it and I'm wondering given the quality of the calls in the Ajax match today.

It was legitimate. Born was clearly tripped. There's not even been discussion about it from the VVV camp.

Seeing that we're in a two week club hiatus, for old time sake the video that was shown to the Twente team one hour before kick off of our last game in our league winning season. LOVE the tackling in this. And seeing Ruiz still brings a tear to my eye... Based on that Al Pacino movie.

And a two minute video in Dutch entitled 'From bankruptcy to league win in seven years time'. All in Dutch but you can still enjoy THAT NKufo goal vs Feyenoord hehehe.

Twente (without internationals) played a friendly today vs Den Bosch. All largely irrelevant apart from the fact that Braafheid apparently made a great impression. Looked v. fit and v. ready. So good news!

What a week of misery it's been. Fer got his meniscus knacked in the Holland game, was operated upon and will be out for around six weeks, now Bulykin also had to have surgery. Thank god Douglas and Chadli are on their way back.

I'm almost expecting Tadic to get injured in the Serb game this week. Murphy's Law.

How did the Iron King get injured? I missed the last few minutes, don't recall him getting dinged . . . though sometimes adrenaline keeps you going

It was a sliding tackle about 20 mins after he came on. You can probably see it in the match highlights. He was limping and shaking his head straight afterwards. Which means he played on around 20 mins with a knacked knee.

He overdid his tackle. Wanted to prove himself a bit too much, mixed with concern only being up 1-0 and so trying to kill off any hope of the Turks with an act of determination.

Feel sorry for him and Twente as he did fairly well on his first real international game.
