Hey Wednesday, congrats on pipping the Blunts auto promotion! Love it!! There is no team I would love to never reach the EPL again. And congrats to Huddersfield as well!
You don't realize how close the Blunts were in succeeding in killing WHU's finances had they got their ruling. WHU would have turned into Rangers. They paid the price for the 25 million pound fine and barely able to stay up and finally got relegated last year.
I've been afk for a while, but I haven't forgotten about this forum. Good thoughts for Wednesday for the new season! b.
i've booked airfare over in september, and am confirmed to be at hillsborough for the huddersfield and bolton games on the 19th & 22nd. **i'll also be cheering on donny rovers at the sty, by the way, on the 18th ** UTO and all that.
what's the deal with our poor starts in our first two games? credit to the boys for fighting back, but we need to be ready to play from kickoff, not halftime.
by all accounts (that i've read/heard, anyway) wednesday were the better side. a draw's not a bad result at derby, and it could easily have gone better. i've got a pretty good feeling about this team.
WOW! 3 - 2 over birmingham city! Reda scored and had an assist. new signing Rodri scored as well as did JJ !
gardner (who may have taken a knock at derby) was sat for beevers, who apparenly looked quite good. despite conceding two, the defense appears to have looked tighter than in the first two games. if the back solidifies (which i suspect it will), this has the making of a very competitive squad at the championship level.
Yeah I was looking at the table and saw some old names that have been thorns in our sides for a while... like looking at ghosts from season past... wolves, hull city, birmingham, cardiff, charlton.... spooky!
another good result today, knocking out fulham in the cup. wasn't expecting that. dave jones can't lose!
