He didn't even make the squad today, don't know what the deal is with that. Assuming Roberto Martinez wants to better integrate him into the squad before playing him.

    7th minute 0 - 2

Better for Ryo to be not there.
He will debut next saturday against Lee's Southampton.

The Spaniard has strengthened his squad over the summer and could call on Arsenal loanee Ryo Miyaichi at Southampton on Saturday after he sat out yesterday's game.
Martinez said of the Japanese winger: "He's been a real surprise. He came in the first day with a big smile and he's never stopped smiling.
"I couldn't work with him enough to get him involved (against Chelsea). The way we play, you need to understand certain concepts, but he's worked twice with the team, he's connected with everyone, and he's an exciting talent.
"We are all really looking forward to seeing what he can do this season."
I think we may see him next week? Hopefully

At least Martinez seems to have faith on Ryo.

Thx, I just wondered. After Alcaraz was sent off, none of the subs were defenders were they?

Nice run & pass etc. BUT I would have liked more a burning dribbling on the slow defender and a power shoot on the poor gk... I'm exceeding but you know it was 1:3 so...

Bench. And Martinez seems to have switched: 4-4-2.
