Are you really sure Uverse has a deal in place? Can you find out what the hell is taking so damn long? I have extra time on my hands now days and will switch. It's like these pieces of shit don't understand I'd rather go through the hell of a switch then have to wait for them to get their heads out of their asses.
Glad BeIn used the feed announcers for Pescara-Inter and Roma-Catania last night, although I suspect it is because their freelance guys were too tired from calling games on Sunday. Probably will get the Ray-Phil show on the live games or the matches between the big clubs though... Also liked the La Liga highlight show shown today. Although I wished they would make their own highlight show for Serie A, because the one currently offered by the rights holder is pretty pretty bad.
So, what does everyone think will be the amount of time before BeIN appears on Verizon? Iw as thinking with the FIOS "available space", that it would have been a matter of time.. I can't switch (I use verizon for the triple play, and their internet coverage is so much better then Xfinity/Comcast, and we can't get DirecTV in HD due to trees on a neighboring property./. so I'm hoping against hope that Verizon gets BeIN soon.
I'm a FIOS customer as well, I'm hoping the channel will be ruining on FIOS by the time COMNEBOL qualifiers start up again though it may look unlikely.
Another socko? Don't see this one red carded, but the profile draws and error. Just how much of a bender did Oliver go on?
If that report regarding verizon and twc is true--thank goodness for flooz, beanz, and complex financial transactions by banks! I do have one question though--allegedly Bein is receiving kickbacks in return for overpaying for tv content? Given how much Bein has spent already on league rights and launch fees, that better be one heck of a kickback payment or else Bein will still wind up losing money on the deal!!
Don't worry, I will once Uverse has BeIn. Anyways, at least I'm asking a question and looking for some type of explanation instead of just having back and forth's with a known sock. Irony that before Comcast, DirecTV and Dish had it, the frustration was okay. You're frustration was okay. Uverse weeks in has shown nothing and I can't be irritated or frustrated with my service provider in a thread dedicated to the subject.

Just got off the phone with a Uverse manager and he has told me there is no active negotiations between AT&T Uverse and BeIn Sports. He checked their database for all of the channels/networks Uverse is currently in negotiations with or has just finalized negotiations and BeIn Sports is not a part of them. In fact it isn't even in their database and he has never heard of the channel.
Ignore him. He's gone off the deep end. That being said, you called their customer service department. They don't know anything. They may have a database that hasn't been updated but it sounds more like something to just get you off the phone to me. A customer service rep isn't going to know who the execs are in negotiations with.
They obviously have heard of the channel as it is on their online channel request form. I also don't think anyone would tell you about active negotiations.
I've called Uverse a lot trying to get answers. This time I went to a higher up; did not want to deal with a rep or the director over him. The manager looked into their database of what they were currently negotiating and had recently finalized and saw nothing. Granted, this manager had no soccer/football knowledge but to his knowledge this database he has access to is the most current and accurate method of telling what is what. This isn't some secret mission to infiltrate a foreign land, so I don't see why Execs would keep something like this invisible to their own managers right below them. Also, I remember not only DirecTV but Comcast at least showing their subscribers that there is some kind of life to this deal, however with AT&T; nothing. Very discouraging.
Really??? You honestly think some exec is just going to openly discuss major contractual negotiations with some random pee-on who calls up demanding answers. Dude, you're clueless. Just switch providers already and save us from your whining.
My go away was to one of Oliver's many sock puppets. You'll see that it was removed after I posted my comment. It wasn't directed to you.
Well, I apologize for that very misplaced burst of frustration/ranting. Random pee-on? Stop projecting yourself. Also who asked for a discussion about negotiations? I asked for confirmation that any did or are currently taking place. Next time before you respond to anyone let that thing in your head guide you (well if you have one).
I seriously don't believe anything that you just posted. The status or the existence of ongoing negotiations is proprietary information which AT&T would not share outside of the company. Anyone engaging in the conduct that you just described would be someone who no longer wishes to remain employed by the company. That person could also be sued by the company for violating the terms of the nondisclosure agreement that they would have signed upon employment. Also, we all know how easy it is to call a company and demand to speak to a an upper level manager to get some real answers! Go try to sale this story someplace else.
Yes, I made up this story in my evil plan to..... ? I am a Uverse customer. Please explain what I get out of making up something negative when all I have wanted is to see some positive happen and a deal done? Talk about shooting a messenger..
The dude you talked to was probably not as high up as he claimed. He was just trying to get you off the phone and make you feel satisfied. No company is going to talk about their ongoing negotiations with a random customer on the phone.
