Thought I start the thread for in season. So if only these sides has some top, world class strikers, perhaps they would have had better results today .... Liverpool 2:2 Manchester City Getafe 2:1 Real Madrid CF Paris Saint-Germain 0:0 Bourdeaux
The only result that matters is the one at the end of the season. Only a fool would draw conclusions from one game.
So the fools around here crying about Marotta not acquiring a top, world class striker fit that bill? BTW, I heard that Cavani had a Torres moment today.
You do realize that one of City's world class strikers is out injured, and the other top class striker they have actually DID score today. Jus sayin
And what good does an injured world class striker do for a team? So does City only have those two. I thought they were stacked in that department. If one looks at their transfer record.
If we could all predict injuries to players I'm sure we'd be sipping drinks on a beach counting our millions. Your comments really is grasping at straws. City has in its front line, Tevez (been there a few years now), Dzeko (a couple years), Aguero (starting second season), Balotelli ( a couple seasons now), Guidetti (not world class, but loads of potential), and Santa Cruz (meh). If one looks at their transfer record they'd notice that they didn't stack themselves up front, rather in the midfield.
Hard for our best two strikers to do since the get relegated to the bench. Why does Conte love Vucinic so much?
No straws Dante. Just pointing out that things are not as simple as some around here think they can be. We could have the same strikers as City and the goals would still have been scored by Lich and Pirlo. People moan about our strikers but how many balls went into the goal mouth like the one Assamoah played? Our problem is our style but as long as we continue to win, is it really a problem?
Some of you forgot to mention the sitter Cavani missed today. It would have given Napoli the lead right before halftime. Now I am picking on him but I don't think he is a bad player. Just not this missing link, great, top, world class striker that some wish him to be. I can see the moaning on these threads if we picked him up for a large sum and he misses out on sitters like this one.
Everyone bitches about Juve, but when other teams get away with it..... it's crickets. Taken out in the box, no penalty.
That's because the rest are utterly insignificant and totally irrelevant to anybody outside of the plebs who support them. But everybody cares about Juve. Whether it's love or hate, the one thing they aren't is indifferent.
