He seems to be getting back into his stride, slowly but surely. I hope he can help give Bolton a big lead in the table before any imminent departure to another club.

Why???? Let him settle into the new season for chrissakes! It's not as though CKH doesn't have other winger options.
Hmm..... I don't understand why a guy who has played 2 full competitive matches in like a whole year is selected for the national team while PJY is such an absolute NO for call up.
IMHO, only Euro-based player CKH should call up is Koo (whose place in Ausburg is set). I would leave everyone else alone to settle into their new clubs or continue to fight for PT in their old clubs. CKH must think of long-term goals (2014) instead of thinking only of immediate needs.
I don't really mind PJY not being called up but I don't want LCY to be called up at this point in his recovery back to form. I'm just curious, because CKH could call up both LDG and PJY. I wonder if he really is pissed about the fact that PJY didn't call him during that whole controversy.
its partially based on options and partially based on the player. yes LCY hasnt played but by the call up date he will have 5 or 6 matches under his belt plus preseason. most likely CKH wants to evaluate him and see where he is at post-injury. its a shame its away cause i would really love to see the reception he gets. plus LCY is already well established at a club. no CKH isnt out to get PJY. PJY is just clubless essentially and while he was an improvement on our U-23 strikers and under HMB we have better options for strikers. CKH also called up PJY for the crucial Feb. qualifier
Bolton's team site interviews LCY. The writer had no mercy on LCY's english... http://www.bwfc.co.uk/news/article/chung-yong-more-to-come-22.8.12-328330.aspx
Hopefully PCY will have his new team by August 31st and then he can get settled in during the qualifiers.
his english doesnt sound bad to me. you sure the writer didn't touch it up? honestly im very sad because i doubt i will watch much of the championship this season. hoping you guys can keep me up to date with the progress cardiff and bolton will be making
The call up is in two and a half weeks and Choi Kanghee has said he's very favourable to calling up Park Chuyoung in September. Please stop making shit up.
CHUNG-YONG Lee believes Wanderers need to cut down on the long ball if they are going to really hit their stride in the Championship. The Korean winger played his first game in 16 months at the Reebok on Tuesday night, contributing to a nervy 2-0 victory to get the Whites off the mark. But he admits the pressure to get a first win may have affected the standard of football. “Both sides were playing a lot of long ball,” he said. “I think that we need to try and pass the ball on the floor more. “If we can pass a lot we have the quality to easily win games like this. We have some very good players who can pass the ball on the floor very well. “After the skipper scored, we got confidence and made some good play. I think as each game we play, the better we are getting. The fans were very loud and it is nice to play in the Reebok Stadium .” A double fractured leg forced Chung-Yong to sit out for virtually the whole of last season as Wanderers dropped through the relegation trap door. But as he nears full match fitness, the 24-year-old is now relishing the challenge of a promotion push. “Personally, after my injury, I feel okay,” he said. “Pre-season was very good for me to play games. Now we are only two games into the league season. “We all know it is going to be a marathon and are looking forward to it. “I’m enjoying my football and I am happy. All the squad believe in each other. We know we have the quality to get back to the Premier League.” http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/9888282.Chung_Yong_wants_ball_kept_on_the_ground/
LCY had a full preseason + 2 competitive matches, so he completed his preseaon build-up properly. His body condition should be pretty good. It's a completely different story from PJY in past few months. In addition, there are some good alternatives for PJY, but not for LCY.
For the record, I don't think either of them should be called. PJY should find himself a new club and LCY should play consistently for his club to show he is back from his injury. My only question why CKH treats PJY and LCY so differently in terms of call up. THB, preseason and two competitive matches is not enough to show you can play for the NT again. Additionally, he hasn't even been good in those matches. Why is this a precedent for an NT call up? As for PJY, he still doesn't have a team and didn't show enough consistency at the Olympics. However, he had trained under Ikeda's program for fitness and played several competitive matches at the Olympics. He also scored two fantastic goals and assisted on another. Yet whenever CKH is asked about him by the media, he takes such a hardline stance against his selection that it sort of confuses me. PJY and LCY aren't so different right now..... As for alternatives, I have to disagree with you. While KSW has been terrific, LDG hasn't been too good the past few matches for Jeonbuk and against Zambia. I'd say there are good alteratives on the wings. Kim Hyung Beom (although he didn't show enough against Zambia when played as a winger, he's in the form of his life), LKH, LSG, and SJJ (although he was frustrating for the u-23 side, he has been good for the senior NT and Suwon). I'm sure others could think of more....... I really hate that LCY was called up.
About the alternatives, LKH is not an alternative but a firm starter on the left side. LSG is not proven at higher level game, and SJJ just sucks so much at Suwon. KBK, NTH, and returned KHB are the alternatives, but all of them are a bit short from good imo. Need for PJY depends on our formation, but as I expect to see 4-2-3-1 with Olympic central midfielders, other options like LDG and KSW who are both good enough for NT starting role can replace PJY right now. It is true it can be good for LCY to stay in England, but KNT is in need of quality winger.
yea i would start LKH on the left and LCY on the right. LSG isnt a great winger he needs to play SS or #10. he would be a good sub for Koo in like the 75min.
I do agree that we need someone good on the right side, LCY is not going to be the one to provide the quality at this moment in time. Again, he hasn't shown anything in preseason or the two regular season games to justify a call up. I still believe there are better alternatives. I know that LKH plays on the left side but I think he could also start on the right. He is good because he is fast and tenacious. He can provide this on both sides of the field. LSG is not proven at higher level but I don't think he's been given a fair chance for the national side. IIRC, he hasn't started a game. I disagree about SJJ. While he can be frustrating because of his decision making and inconsistencies, he is a winger who can provide individual quality and help others score. He was also doing extremely well when CKR was manager but dropped after. KHB needs to be given another chance. His domestic form is unbelievable and his one game (which wasn't bad) against Zambia is not enough to write him off.
Um.. Well, I know LKH can be good for right side as well, but if he goes there who goes to left? SJJ, I really do not want to see him on NT. Watch Suwon matches, and you will understand. If you want flare, we have NTH. KHB will be called up again for sure. He is doing extremely well. CKH loves him after all. Well, LCY's season just started so he should be fresh, thus there should be no fitness problem. If he is not good enough, we will not call him again for the time being. I think CKH needs to see LCY with his own eyes to make decisions about that.
