Damn I love him so much. What a goal, what a game... But I can't help it but worry that we depend on him so much.

Also, Bruno Rodrigo, David Braz, Durval, Juan and Adriano all deserve to be fired. A good slap in the face would be great as well.

Crazy game was nice to see the big three back playing. Rafael is amazing also, he had a big save in the second half. Hopefully Neymar has enough energy for Corinthians this Sunday.

This is a hell of a game. Neymar is growing a lot as a player in terms of his understanding of the game.

Happy with the win but Corinthians outplayed Santos. Its just frustrating when we have two good tackling midfielders adriano and Arouca but see Douglas and romarinho dribbling through each of them especially in the first half. Watching Neymar is always fun not only because he is great but hes a team player who makes a honest effort to improve each week. Ganso barely moved today again I'm not going to over react I just hope he comes around.

I don't think they outplayed us to be honest. It was even across the board in my eyes. Like you said, Douglas and Romarinho were getting through easily in he first half, but they were both peripheral figures for most of the game.

I actually thought Ganso played well. It wasn't any Hollywood stuff, but he kept possession well, conducted attacks (look at that great pass to Neymar for Andre's first goal for instance), and even came back and defending. No wonder the crowd was cheering him when he came off.

I would have preferred to win without that woeful call on Andre's second goal, but such is football.

Really looking forward to the Recopa this week.

For me it was a game of two halves; Corinthians was better in the first, while we dominated the second. Anyway, those three points are VERY welcome.

I'm suffering from the same symptons that made me spend a month in the hospital last year... I suppose I'd be back there soon if this keeps up, so I may be absent for some time. Keep the place tidy while I'm away ok? ;)

    Get well soon, Baka.

The game tonight was even, but we really should have had 1/2 away goals.

Very disappointing not to put at least one up, they had some great chances.

As an outsider I find this Recopa thing very strange. Why does the winner of the inferior tournament get to play the winner of the superior tournament for a trophy?

They have the same thing in Europe plus there could be arguments that Universidad has been the best team in South America over the course a year, year and a half. Not my opinion but they have to be in the discussion. Mostly for money is the answer but the recopa matches are always really good. I enjoy the Sudamericana as well though.

I was only able to see highlights, but his free kick goal was incredible. Santos now has a five match unbeaten streak and a couple matches against lower tier opponents coming up.

There is an article up at Forbes (http://www.forbes.com/sites/anderso...star-neymar-be-paving-the-road-to-bankruptcy/) that argues that Neymar is spending himself towards bankruptcy and also likely earns a total of approximately $8 million per year, not the $18 million figure being reported by the Brazilian media. The article also says that Santos may be encouraging some of these purchases to keep him happy in Brazil.

The match vs bahia was all kinds of bad really disappointing to get beat by Bahia at home. Not to blame one player but Ganso missed chances and really did nothing to create not saying he didn't have a few good passes in the midfield but barely anything. Patito didn't really get going until the 2nd half either. Defense was horrible Bahia should of scored a goal in the 1st half but they got two in less than 5 minutes in the second half.

.... Back! This time I only spent one week in the hospital, since they already knew exactly what had to be done, being a replay from one year ago... Feeling much better right now (sure feels good when it doesn't hurt to breathe!) . Same old, my rhinitis + asthma + thalassemia+ dry weather in São paulo all combine into one tough Megazord mofo of a pneumonia. It's revolting that even if I do all my treatments religiously, there will still be occasions where I will just get ill again without a choice, but oh well I should be fine as long as I don't breathe too much :p Either that or I move from São Paulo, to a more rural area...

... I was happy with our win against Corinthians and Palmeiras, but this loss to Bahia was such a huge kick in the nuts for our momentum. I still believe we can reach the Copa Libertadores and I thought that these classico wins would be teh boost we needed to rush for the top 4... How the hell did we manage to concede 3 times in 13 minutes against Bahia at home anyway?!? On a plus note, Neymar's passing is improving tremendously, specially his crossing.

And Ganso received one of Vila Belmiro's specialties: chuva de moedas! Coins rained on his head to remind him thyat we know what's really important for him... He won't be here for long, we will have to settle for the best bid we have (probably São Paulo), and move on. So sad that it had to end like this, I still remember myself calling him a God after that 2010 Paulistão win, when he refused to leave the pitch... Yet right now I feel pissed just by looking at his face... Truly a shame :(

I read that article too. It's an incredibly dumb article. At the end it says, Neymar is young and should earn a lot of money in the future, so basically he will probably be OK. Just an example of an article that in the end says absolutely nothing.

I heard the humidity level in SP has been really low this winter. Below 20% which makes the effect of pollution even worse. Glad to hear you are doing better.

Bakaman Glad to hear everything went well!

With the latest loss, I think the time to question Muricy is here. There is no reason for the team to look so inept just because Neymar isn't playing. I mean, this was Sport. Sport! Winless in 11 and we just turn up and hand them 3 points.
