I miss Hals full analysis reviews so I am willing to throw one in myself. Take into consideration that this is from a manager that has only been above 3rd place in a Division one time in 4 years.

Vegas Virgins: A pereniall favorite had Rooney as first pick and waited on Bent and Gerrard. Without a clear line up presenting itself and with 2.5 in the bank looks like a constant wave of transfers and tweaks for the season and a likely top two finish for the group:
Goalkeepers: Hart and the guy from Southampton
    Grade: A
Can't go wrong with Hart but a lot of money.

Defenders: Assou-Ekotto, Hangeland, Fonte, Fabio and Kolorov
    Grade: B-
Kolorov is an inknown starter. Expect a transfer by week 2.

Midfielders: Gerrard, McAnuff, Guthrie, Taarabt, McClean
    Grade: B
Gerrard may go gang busters. Will need to really hope for more than 120 from the rest.

    Forward: Rooney, Bent, Defoe
    Grade: A
Bent and Defoe are getting older and may not produce but Rooney will be the weekly captain and racking in plenty of points.

Likely Formation: 3-4-3 or 3-3-4 constant rotation of the midfield and defense to find the extra points.

Glorydaze: Has a great Captain and has spread around the talent. Should stay middle of the pack. Took some chances on midrange players that will need to pay off. Goalkeeping and depth at the Midfield may cause the manager headaches.

    Goalkeepers: Given and Foster
    Grade: B-
Glorydaze will have to be the champ of second guessing as it is hard to say when the clean sheets will come. A lot of weeks of 3's likely. May just play the home games for each.

Defenders: Kompany, Terry, Shawcross, Kolscieny, Williams
    Grade: A
Likely to have atleast 4 defenders week after week. Two of the top 4 scoring defenders on the club.
Good use of the 5.0 million choices as well.

Midfielders: Ya Ya Toure, Sinclair, Beausejour, Lallana, Ben Arfa
    Grade: B+
If Sinclair goes to Man City there will be a problem. Otherwise, Toure, Sinclair and Ben Arfa look to be in the weekly line up. A risk taken with Lallana and Beausejour that may turn out fruitful.

    Forwards: Aguero, Ba and Odemwingie
    Grade: A-
Minus only goes to Odemwingie. Aguero is the solid Captain. Will hope for the Ba at the beginning of last season and the Odemwingie from two years before.

    Likely Formation:
    4-3-3 or 5-3-2

    The analysis continues

Sasha Juniors: Draft strategy seems to have been spend a lot of money and then put on the breaks.

    Goalkeepers: Friedel and Begovic
    Grade: B
Friedel was probably a good choice last year. Now with the Villa- Boas attack minded strategy and he will probably be hung out to dry atleast twice per match. Begovic will probably take turns with Sorenson between the sticks.

Defenders: Lescott, Ivanovic, Pearce, Cameron, Rangel
    Grade: B+
Will have to hope that Lescott and Ivanovic are starters. But there are too many questions. Not likely to see Pearce off the bench, can Swansea really deliver their sophmore year and a Stoke defence that spends too much time defending.

Midfielders: Van der Vaart, Nani, Piennar, Michu, Snodgrass
    Grade: A-
Potentially can captain Van der Vaart or Nani when Van Persie is injured or with a difficult match. Piennar looked a bit undervalued. But the real depth will depend on two newbies to the league.

Forwards: Van Persie, Pogrebnyak and Borini
    Grade: A-
If Van Persie does not do a Tevez things could be rosie with a top scoring captain. Pogrebnyak will probably be this years Boselli and nose dive it along with Reading's return to the Championship. Borini will likely be transferred out after 4 matches only to be picked up by Vegas Virgins and go on a howling streak.

Prognosis: Everything depends on Van Perise, Nani and Van der Vaart for success. Not likely to produce much from the defensive end. Expected Line up to be 2-4-3. Can't rely on Pogrebnyak if Reading only going to be good for one goal per match. Will have to rotate Snodgrass and Michu for the 4 th defense spot.

FC St. Pauli: After 3 Seasons winning the division FC St. Pauli is at the top of All Rocks. Draft strategy was one of pure salary negotition where no one was allowed over 9.5. Manager is already steaming in the loss of Cazorla to FC Touchline Ban and takes Nasri who is the ire of many manager as the replacement.

    Goalkeepers: Krul and Ruddy
    Grade: B
Krul creeps up to the 5.5 million spot. A little bit more money could have gotten an ManU, Liverpool or Chelsea goalkeeper. A bit of a risky move.

Defenders: Veronghen, G Johnson, S Taylor, Clyne and Turner
    Grade: B+
Will likely have to play two Toons in defense each gameweek. Veronghen and Johnson will bring in solid numbers but Clyne and Turner take two spots on the bench.

Midfielders: Sigurdsson, Hazard, Sessegnon, Noble, Nasri
    Grade: A
Has 5 solid midfielders and looks to score a lot of points here. Did not shrug with the inflation of Sigurdsson and Sessegnon and could get the massive payback for it. "Sure they raised in price but you get what you pay for and maybe more..."

    Forwards: Jelavic, Podolski and Petric
    Grade: A-
Podolski may turn out to be a Ronaldo wonder boy. 8.5 might turn out to be a steal if he plays World Cup style. Jelavic is another major price jump from last years 6.5 or so. Petric could be solid but if Dempsey goes to Liverpool there may be little service.

Prognosis: May get to say he is the "Special One" if he runs right up the table. There could also be the flying Gatoride cooler as Hazard and Nasri struggle for playing time. It will be fun to see last years champ's run in the Small Rocks...
Likely Formation: 3-5-2 if Noble has a good match and 3-4-3 for Petric's soft days.

Cold Dog Soup: Simply put went high on the hog with 6 players at 8.5 Million or above. Could be a simple matter of 6 cylinders of turbo blasters with the other 5 picking up the detritus.

    Goalkeepers: Schwarzer and Cerny
    Grade: B+
Schwarzer at 5.0 was a fundamental part of the whole bet the farm on Red 28...

Defenders: Fox, Hare, Ryan Talyor, Guner, Marriappa and a random tapping of the kyboard.
    Grade: C
This is where Lobo will do his sneak attach and find all of those Simpsons and 2008 Brambles. Also, likely to be fixed by week 2 as the Wild Card is played

Midfielders: Silver, Mata, Walcott, Lampard, Young
    Grade: A+
Lobo is looking to win the all expenses paid scholarship for the ultimate midfield college. No need to overextend oneself.

    Forward: Torres, Lambert and Cisse.
    Grade: B+
Looking to harken back to 2010 when Carroll was picked up in the 13th round at 5.5 as the Toons returned to the Premierleague. This selections is pure bragging rights at the bar of the Alumni club

Prognosis: Cold Dog always in the top of the chart obviously knows things we can only grasp for but a moment. Likely will play a 3-5-2 and move Lambert and Cisse about. Also, most likely to outscoop the rest on the latest hottest transfer on August 30th...

Rockville Gunners: Another club that has been busy doing the due diligence of "Clobbering Time," since I have ever been around. Does not like the cheap stuff but not necessarily generous with the private stash... remains a storied club and looks to continue with the same..

    Goalkeepers: Vorm and Howard
    Grade: A-
Consider it more like an annuity. Can simply cast a line in the morning and come back in the evening to see the catch.

Defenders: Clichy, Cahill, Ferdinand, Skrtel and Riise
    Grade: A
Yes, it is going to be frustrating to see 25 or more points coming out of the defense week after week. This is part of the vise grip known as the Rockville only transfer 20 times per season way...

Midfielders: Dempsey, Kagawa, Walters, Cabaye and Dyers
    Garde: B+
The weakest part of the squad. Will have to hope Walters and Cabaye don't go into their 2 points per week funk. Also, the likely areas to make the killer transfer. Not much for the other teams to feel comfortable about.

    Forwards: Cisse, Graham and Holt
    Grade: B+
If Cisse from Newcastle continues from last year and Graham keeps the preseason going then this grade will have to be changed. Solid strategy here of known starters with relatively good values.

Prognosis: Looks like a 4-3-2 line up all season long. The 6th place pick in draft will have to rely on Dempsey and Ciise for the double points. A real strategist so likely in the top of the group as always...

Need to wrap up before kick off....

    The unsolicited analysis continues......

FC Touchline Ban: Will have to go based on the transfers at post draft I think for proper analysis.

Also, this guy makes you feel like you live off in the Pacific Islands as you read news on a potential transfer and see that the players is already on FC Touchlines team two days prior.

Overall for FC Touchline it is like a tale of opposites. Extremely expensive players matched with bargains.

    Goalkeepers: de Gea and Federici
    Grade: A
Federici at 4.5 will only get to hear the sound of his knees cracking as he peels himself off the bench when Lindegard is given a run.

Defenders: Evra, Vermaelen, Walker, R Martin and Figuero
    Grade: A-
Yes 3 defenders at 6.5 or above and Norwich and Wigan for the odd subsitute. Grade based on lack of depth

Midfielders: Bale, Valencia, Cazorla, Ramires, Mikel
    Grade: A-
Another grade based on depth. Mikel at 4.5 may get a run at a double gameweek but likely the end of a night of research to get Cazorla on the squad

    Forwards: Morison, Crouch and Girourd
    Grade: B
A little harsh I know but Morrison and Crouch tended to get coughed up as they go through those long cold streaks. Girourd could be a hot item. Look for squad adjustment by week three.

Prognosis. 8 players with great average scores week after week. Will have trouble second guessing who should be the Captain. If Girourd is hot then so will FC Touchline Ban fortune run. Likely formation is 3-4-3 unless he feels Wigan can keep a clean sheet at home.

just as blech started talking about the advantages of drafting 8th here goes...

I actually think bleck had the best draft and is my pick to win Small Rocks. At one point in the draft I realized that I was not upset missing out on a 6- 6.5 million midlfielder because there was plenty. Blech figured this out beforehand and baesd a strategy on this.

blechs dawgs: Spent more money on defenders than midfielders but has 3 star forwards, a wrecking crew of a defence and enough of a selection of the midpriced midfielders.

    Goalkeepers: Jaaskelainen and Green
    Grade: C
I think I paired Al-Habsi one season with Sorenson or the like. Could never get it right with Al-Habsi playing when he stops a penalty and gets 3 bonus points. Will enjoy blech having to make a decision. We could run a tournement on which goalkeeper he should start each week.

Defenders: Baines, Vidic, A Cole, Enrique, Zabaleta
    Grade: A
Probably going to get more than 20 points out of here each week. Makes you wonder how he got this package.

Midfielders: Larsson, Maloney, Fellaini, N'Zogbia and Nolan
    Grade: B+
Will hopefully be able to sort out which 3 will play each week. Maybe only 2... (will need to check the rules)

    Forwards: Suarez, Tevez and Adebayor
    Grade: A+
Well I certainly liked having Tevez and Adebayor last year. Tevez could start this season and win the Golden Boot. Suarez looks to have a healthy Gerrard and new recruits to supply support. A lot of points week after week for sure. It must feel a long way from last year with an injured Gerrard and Van der Vaart always a bit wobbly.

Prognosis: blech will have to battle the second guessing jinx... Jussi or Green, Captain armband to Suarez, Tevez or Adebayor, Bench Nolan, Maloney or N'Zogbia. Will play 5-2-3 unless Zabaleta is rotated. Will fight for top spot in All Rocks.

make the transfer asap to correct it. since it happened pre-gw1 when all transfers are free, i don't think you should be required to take an extra transfer to incur a penalty, although you will have spent a transfer to correct so will be subject to a penalty on the next one should you do so? anyone disagree?

reading still have another game to play, and i know i'm a softie about this kind of stuff, but i'd be fine with not making a manual adjustment to the score IF harte and pearce end up with the same score this week. in fairness to Tarv, he was running the proxy for another draft, he working on getting everyone signed up in the right leagues, and he gave us these grand write ups with inflated grades for everyone. if he had only paid attention to his own team and didn't do all of this other stuff, this probably wouldn't have happened, so i'm good with just getting it sorted moving forward and then looking the other way. obviously, that's bending/stretching/breaking the rules, so if anyone wants to dock him, it's easy enough to track it on the league table on the G-Doc.

ps - glad to see my dawgs living up to their name on opening day and making a mockery of Tarv's write-up putting them anywhere near the top of the table......

Wow. So Cahill is still on the bench while Sideshow Bob starts and Wigan are trying to give up more than yesterday's high of 5 goals against. Blah.

On the playing of someone already taken the rules/precedents are pretty clear. You need to fix the problem as soon as it is discovered. You can either bring back the player you gave up (unless somebody else already took your dropped player or you no longer can afford him) or make a legal trade for another unowned player. Having to make the trade right away is a penalty since it increases the chance that the manager will want/need to make another trade in the same gameweek and incur penalties. Whatever points were earned by the illegal player (if the started or subbed in) need to be subtracted from your gameweek and overall score even if your dropped player would have scored the same. That is the second part of the cost of taking an already owned player.

And a promising start to the season comes to an abrupt halt as it appears I will gain little out of my top pick for a while. Who snuck into the Southampton locker room and made a "New Orleans" style proposal to the boys in the back?:(

funny, about 30%+ of idiots on our board constantly complain about him taking penalty shots:rolleyes:, today made him 47 out of 51 for Chelsea; between that long knock and AVB's reign of terror he still had 11 goals and 138 fantasy points last year for ya, I was glad he finally came to his senses and rejoined CDS FC and at a better price...you might as well send those extra Supah Frank coffee mugs over too...:D ready to trade Ivano, his mugs and his 912 fantasy point scoring pace over for Harte yet ?

Yes the supah Frank mug is over two years old and the blue is way faded. Had to cancel my RVP mug order made before he was traded. They said that I will have to accept the delivery but they will send a paint set for me to make adjustments and personalize.

I just want to make sure I'm not missing something - Tarv drafts RVP, VDV, and Nani in the first three rounds and rakes in 1 point each from 23, 23, and 77 minutes. He then adds Piennar for 3 points in the 4th round and Lescott for a surprise 1 point in the 5th round, plus he ends up having to take a 2-point deduction and play with only 10 players due to the Harte fiasco.

Yet, despite a mere 7 points for his top 5 picks and playing short-handed, he sits at the top of the table and not in the relegation zone. Surely a rant coming from Cannon about the captaincy rule.....

    Well done, Tarv!
