I should actually get Neg repped for giving this spazzo a view!!! The best line in it... "One thing is for sure: The gap between the successful Mexican youth players and the American players that many said was there before Wednesday's match is no longer there after the historic win at the Estadio Azteca."
Que bola de pendejos los gringos... primero da coraje, despues lastima y al final risa... de las estupideses que salen de su boca.
Seriously? It was a FRIENDLY.I'm not taking anything away from their win but they are seriously going overboard.
This guy should also go to the hall of spazzos. He always post spazzo stuff. Yeah what was lucky or surprising of a game where even if they weren´t clear chances, had the most possesion and threaten the most against a team that scored in there only offensive play. A lot of posters there are happy for the win but realize that it wasn´t a great game for them but the spazzos actually paint it out as if they outplayed and were the deserved winners outside of getting th result.
Well let's see, so far they got the platinum medal in friendlies and they are the current world champions of class. Im telling you guys, they are a force to be reckoned with. Next stop sawker champs of the universe
Its just the sporting culture here. At least in Houston it is. The NBA, NFL and MLB coverage here is always super Homer sugarcoating style for the most part.
Life is about context. Last week there were a few Mexican posters who went onto the USA board claiming that Mexico was far ahead of the USA with a huge gap. They are superior to the USA in every way shape and form. I said I wanted to wait and see it happen at the national level and people were making it seem like I was crazy. One classy Mexican poster even compared me to a someone with disabilities. So before you judge and isolate my post at least read the thread for a little context.
We are never done waiting and seeing. And I agree with you context is everything. The last meaningful game these two teams played ended 4-2 in Mexico's favor.
And the context was different. Different coach, different pool of players, different venue. Heck lots of players who played well in that match for Mexico look average now. And lets not make it seem like Mexico was far superior that day. They were losing 2-0 and then things happened. Do you think a 2-0 in Columbus would finish 4-2 in Mexico's favor? Probably not. Gotta wait and see.
says the guy who popped a huge boner and started a stupid thread cause the under 23 nads won a friendly.
Observations, not excuses. Let me emphasize that I have said/implied Mexico's Senior team is better in many posts... ...yet no one really acknowledges that. I say Mexico does not have a huge gap between them and the USA, then people go all crazy (which is kind of odd to me).
I'm pretty sure that was Grant Wahl and every other American news outlet that covers soccer. You damn well didn't hear that from the Mexican media or players, most of whom have surprisingly kept expectations grounded after the gold medal win last week. National team level? You mean the one where the US had not beaten Mexico in official games in over three years? The one where Mexico won the Gold Cup on American soil after being down by two goals last summer? Tell me again, how does this friendly change that? Different pool? Your best players are still the same..... Bradley, Howard, Dempsey, Bocanegra, Donovan....etc Those guys were all there last summer and will continue to be starters under Klinsmann. Just because you got a couple of germans on your team now doesn't mean the "pool of players" is vastly different... You want different? Compare Mexico's squad from Columbus in 09 to the one that played at Azteca six months later. no mames... Donovan looked awful on wednesday, so did Jones, Fabian Johnson didn't really do shit, Danny Williams was a nobody, Terrence Boyd is worse than Chicharito with the ball at his feet... entonces? But they were far superior.....it was the most dominating performance against the US in a long, long time. We all know games between the US and Mexico are usually tight affairs but this was not.....you don't score four unanswered goals after being down by two if you don't dominate. You should watch that game again....you guys got played off the pitch that night. Why not? Mexico hasn't played in Columbus in over three years and this Mexico team is far superior mentally that the last one who made the trip up there.
