Huge test for Anita!! Cheik Tiote was very, very solid last season-- it will be quite an accomplishment if Anita can dethrone him. Another player to compete is Cabaye, who owed a chance to start in Euro for France to his performance at N'Castle last season. He led the team in assist.

Enoh still injured, so unless Frank puts Blind there, we might see Boccara or Sporkslede.

Actually, that's probably wishful thinking on my part. I think Frank will opt for Janssen or Schone maybe.

Futbol is a business, fellas. Good luck to him. Newcastle are lucky to have him and they're a team on the rise. Only one spot away from Champions League last year. The EPL is a more competitive league. I'm upset he's leaving too, but that's just the nature of things and it's always been like that.

That being said, any team with a decent offense is gonna murder us in the back.

Toon are probably playing all of Tiote, Cabaye and Anita together in midfield. Might actually work.

FdB calls Sporkslede, Boccara and de Kamps by name as candidates to replace Anita so we may see Boccara sooner than expected in the 1st team.

    ..Saved the best/worst for last,

Assaidi is heading to LFC.

Maybe we can pick up Ryan Babel for a couple of €s. I see where he's training with the Hoffenheim reserves these days.

I'm happy with what we have now on the left. Hopefully Fischer can make as many cameo's as possible in Boerrigters' absence and he can put in more Celtic like performances. We just need another midfielder and center-back and go from there imo. Armenteros will be even cheaper in the winter so we can always go for him should we really need to.

Sport1 has another rediculous transfer rumor about Eriksen to Barca (zero chance of starting for them) for 20m and we get Tello on loan. :p

Please no. Unless he's willing to play for free.

Hmmmmm...................yup, you are probably right. Another player who went abroad way to early and never got any better. Amazing that he made the 2006 WC roster.

Sport1 latest rumor seems to be more believable. Buttner swap deal for Janssen, Vitesse will lose money on this if it were to happen so I'm all for it.

Aissati hasn't signed for Gaziantepspor after all this time so maybe they're still waiting for Overmars?

what exactly is the situation there? It seems that he's lost his squad number and is listed among the reserves on their Wiki page. I thought he was one of their better players?

Buttner is fighting with the Vitesse management, trying to force a transfer. Vitesse is basically willing him to place him on the bench rather than resolve it. Almost made a transfer to Southampton earlier in the summer.

Got an answer for my own question, Izzy signed for.. wait for it.. Antalyaspor today or Medical Park Antalyaspor as they are officially named. :p

Should've just accepted the 600k from Ajax and play in CL for more exposure instead of joining a no name, or should I say funny named, Turkish club (they ended last season in 15th place narrowly avoiding relegation).

Speaking of numbers. Ajax Ladies played PSG today and did very well apparently. Score was 0 - 0 which is promising considering the PSG women's team are a powerhouse in Europe. They have an American teenager who has a 6 figures income, that's more than most male pro's in Jupiler lol.

    Selection for NEC - Ajax
Kenneth Vermeer, Jasper Cillessen, Gregory van der Wiel, Toby Alderweireld, Christian Eriksen, Kolbeinn Sigthórsson, Siem de Jong, Theo Janssen, Daley Blind, Davy Klaassen, Tobias Sana, Lasse Schöne, Derk Boerrigter, Ricardo van Rhijn, Thulani Serero, Jody Lukoki, Joël Veltman, Mitchell Dijks
I'm slightly disturbed that there are no young DMs called up. I guess it will be one of Blind, Shone, Serero, or if de Boer has lost his mind again - Janssen:eek:

I hope it's not Janssen, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if it was.

Assaidi may be reconsidering what he got himself into after today! 3-0 loss to West Brom and they really looked terrible conceding two penalties (one was an easy save by Reina on the lamest effort that I've seen).
