I don't approve, either. I believe that they keep a pretty close eye on what she's doing. From what I can tell, she mostly watches (and posts) Selena Gomez videos. She wants to be Selena Gomez.

And yet she's somehow related to me. I just don't get it.

 

That's too much like work.

 

I don't understand what this means.

 

When you add a status update or a photo or a link, you have the option of selecting an audience - you can make the content visible to the entire world, friends of friends, friends, or just specific people. Or you can prevent certain people from seeing the update. Totally simple - there's a button on the bottom right (I think).

 

I was really hoping you were gonna say "There's a 'Homophobe' button; just select that."

i'm reeeeeeally old and i know who Selena Gomez is, mainly because i don't live in a cave.

and, to put a very fine point on it, i watched a whole episode of "Wizards of Waverly Place" with my two granddaughters (11 and 8, going on 23 and 9), and Selena Gomez is adorable in that show. fortunately she's 20 years old, so i don't have to undergo chemical castration.

To bring this back on topic, somewhat, and to tie into the raison d'être for these boards (i.e. soccer), the New Jersey youth soccer club PDA (Players Development Academy), which was ranked 1st in the nation for girls last December by Soccer America, was founded by Thomas Anderson, who is still President of the Club. I wonder how many of the families in that Club, or those that wish they were in that Club, are aware that Mr. Anderson is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Family Research Council, the group that believes gay behavior should be outlawed and criminal sanctions imposed against homosexual behavior, and spends a lot of money lobbying for such right-wing christian conservative beliefs, and which has been designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Would even one of those soccer families stop patronizing the Club over this? I have serious doubts.

 

My son's U11 team had several kids from religious/moralist families. The coach of that team F bombed every single sentence. Every time. He also told obscene jokes. Nobody ever complained because the team always won.

 

Not to mention all the liberals on this board who regard Phil Anschutz with varying degrees of affection.

 

It is not unlikely that I despised some of his positions less when the Fire were winning more.

 

Yes. I was in the room when my daughter was watching it. Terrific easter egg.
