The American pipeline is far from impressive. I'm afraid 2009 may have been the peak, and such a peak won't be reached again in a long, long time.
Clint Eastwood - completely agree with you on the other nations in CONCACAF. Honduras is starting to scare me. Hell, Panama is starting to scare me (their coach is fantastic). Jamaica is better than ever. All of a sudden competition is really springing up. (Thank you MLS for developing many of these players by the way). And springing up for Mexico too by the way - let's remember their game against El Salvador. Qualifying out of this region is not a cakewalk. Now yes, we are expected to qualify. But anyone who expects us to roll Guatemala 5-0? Reality check please. These next two games against Jamaica are incredibly important. Hope we're prepared. Cause that's the absolute least you need to do. That squad is no pushover.
Nah. Their Olympic team played other kids. What just happened is that today JK had better tactics (and more luck) than Chepo de la Torre. Footie is like chess. And, like chess, is not usually transitive.
I think you'd have a hard time finding anyone who thinks 22 year olds are kids in football. Maybe in the US due to the Collegiate system and the fact that a lot of players debut in MLS at 22 or 23 but that's hardly the case anywhere else in the world.
I am still waiting to see Mexico take over the Azetca let alone the World with their vast superior talent and coaching.
Pretty sad really. This kind of celebration for a friendly win. Speaks volumes on the current state of both programs. I wonder if this win will have the same false positive like that win against Spain in the 2009 confed. I do not think there is a big gap in talent between these two teams but there is a big gap in talent comping up the pipeline.
Well, we all know what happened after the usa U23's win in February. And after FC Dallas became first usa (non-Hungarian) club to win in Mexico. They didn't make it out of the group stage either.
Sure it isn´t, which is why you had to bring the Dallas Burn out of nowhere. If somebody had posted this on the BSMX forum, you would be one of the first voices against it. Just take it and hide your ardidismo.
Jaja. No estoy ardido, mibuen. Calmate, como te dicen todos los otros usuarios. Te estas haciendo una mala reputacion aqui.
I'll never understand someone who feels the need to tell other people that they're celebrating wrong.
I am sure that it must be a very shitty feeling to be basking in the well deserved afterglow of the Olympic Gold Medal . . . and have your biggest rival come into the mighty fortress of Azteca and do this Amusingly, those Mexican photographers don't seem to grasp the compelling nature of this moment. I would also offer that it has been great for the USA and for Mexico to enjoy a great rivalry. This has called both soccer nations to summon forth their greatness . . . I am already looking forward to the home and away series in the Hex.
Yeah because bringing things like past stuff of other competitions like a Dallas win, isn´t trying to diminish stuff and hide the bitterness. And LOL you talking about reputation.
