I like a general thread, as usual.

A second historic away win in the Klinsi era.

And some Big Soccer humble pie as favorite whipping boys Orozco Fiscal, Castillo, Shea and Edu have good games.

And Cameron and Howard were rocks.

Orozco-Fiscal, Shea, and Castillo received a lot of criticism before this game.

Have to admit, I have been really critical of Castillo in the past (and occasionally the others to a lesser extent), but tonight he did really well.

Great job overall by our guys.

Shea should move to the Mexican league.

Let's be fair, the inclusion of those guys before tonight was questionable.

They all certainly made the most of it though, I'm proud.

Cameron and Howard were great. Edu, Beckerman, Jones, Castillo and Donovan good. Shea... well, he got it done.

It is important to keep in mind the US has NEVER won at Azteca before. We were missing at least 5 normal starters. (Bradley, Cherundolo, Boca, Altidore and Deuce). The not-often-revered Klinnsman deserves credit.

Just a friendly. Let's see them do this next summer, preferably with a little more attacking initiative.

ESPN says that Orozco-Fiscal has the USA's first ever goal scored by a Mexican American. That can't be right, can it?

I sincerely hope that FIFA levies penalties or fines against Mexico for the laser bullshit. That was absolutely classless...

This basically. Both he and Timmy were massive tonight.

Can't believe we won with THIS squad and THIS performance. Figures :D

I said previously that the only thing I ever remember about Orozco was his red card, well I'm happy to erase that memory with this one. Good shift in the short time he was on the field. Didn't put a foot wrong, and certainly put one right.

    Historic win!!!!

Lucky, but that's okay. Maybe when the US goes back and can insert Dempsey for Torres and Bradley for Jones they can get some of the play then.

I'm so glad I was able to see this. 75 years and no wins, that's over.

    Stock rose:
Beckerman - just pure class, knows how to set the pace, set up the goal.
Shea - moment of brilliance (it was adu-esque)
    Cameron - like a rock
Beasley - DMB can still jig and jive

    Stock dropped:
Torres - Did he contribute anything?
Williams - Waste of space - can someone teach him offense?
Edu at CB - I wasn't impressed. Give me Boca, Ream, Onyewu, Goodson over him any day of the week.

Could very well be, unless you count Boca. I'm honestly not sure but its an interesting claim.

A Happy day for all of US soccer.

The squad showed a lot of mettle and Howard was huge at the end.

Geoff Cameron is international quality at CB and lets hope he plays a little there at Stoke and not just CM, as speculated.

Brek Shea has got the talent to make the game changing play. His career may be at a bad moment, but there should be no calls to give up on him yet.

A lot of work ahead, especially improving our attack, but you have got to love this result.
