The famed Soccer by Ives website has a post in which they highlight the fact that the FMF plans to do a halftime tribute to the Olympic team and some of the comments on the site indicate that it is "arrogant and classless" for the FMF to parade the Olympic champions in front of the US national team.

I frankly don't see what is arrogant or classless about it and it is something that would've taken place no matter who the opponent is.

    pero bueno...

No it wouldn´t. Ticket sales were slow and that is why they are doing the tribute. People here are baffled why they didn´t drive them thru the streets in the turibus like they did with the u17 teams, but is logical when you go to the ticketmaster site on monday and have tickets to every zone in the stadium. They needed it to sell tickets.

You say that with awful lot of certainty and I don't agree with you.

What part? Disagree with me about it happening regardless maybe but not that Tickets sales were slow and it was needed for it, because you are wrong then.

    A ver....

I think the opponent, in this case the US, is irrelevant. Meaning that all those butt hurt nads that are whining about the fact that the FMF is parading the Olympic team through Azteca on wednesday are barking up the wrong tree. That would've probably happened if Paraguay or Chile or whomever were our rivals on wednesday night.

De que quieren jalar baro con las entradas y estan usando a la sele olimpica como payaso de circo pues si....en eso estamos de acuerdo.

Oh well ,we don´t disagree in that. I just think that if the friendly had been selling well, they would have paraded the team in a turibus like they did with the u17 team twice and not saved it just for the Azteca.

I think they did it because of ticket sales, that I believe. Not because it is the US, and they want to "shove it in their face"... much less do I think it is arrogant and classless regardless of opponents... and I find it dishonest to say that from a country who is all about "shoving it in your face"...

    /p

PS: like we need to shove anything in their face, lol

Why would I have a problem, 'cause I point out the double standard?? Nope, having much fun reading the mojados obsessing about anything happening on the US side in order to feel better.
