After seeing KBK in these Olympics, I'm actually starting to think going to Cardiff City was a very wise decision on his part. He's got talent, but he's still inconsistent. I think he'd get frustrated and smothered in a top league right now, and he needs to build himself up by hopefully dominating 2nd tier competition.

Craig Bellamy is joining Cardiff City. Currently having a medical. Well looks like Cardiff City is one of the favorites to win promotion this year.

cant depend on bellamy with those knees and he doesnt exactly have leadership quality either. he def doesnt hurt the team's prospects either. he's a beast on the wings when fit

idk, "fantastic" seems a bit much... but i guess he's not gonna underpraise a new signing

Would have scored against Japan, credit the keeper for a good save.

For the sake of KNT, hopefully he plays as a left winger.

I think it really doesn't matter. He just needs playing time and that's all that matters. He's naturally left footed so playing on the left will always work for him with the KNT.

Question now that tournament is over and done with: (pure hypothetical/speculation)

Do you think KBK should have waited until after the olympics?

If he waited, what kind of offers would he have gotten?

EDIT: also, Cardiff paid 2.5M pounds. Think he could have moved for more if he waited?

Probably one additional premier league offer and a couple of Bundesliga offers...

I think the goal post deserves more credit.

Thought in the slo-mo the keeper got fingers on it, enough to tip onto the post.

The keeper did get his finger on it... enough to have the post help him out. Real unfortunate.

I watched the replay on that shot and it wasn't that great. The trajectory wasn't that high and it lacked any venom. It was pretty much smack in the middle slowly curling to the side. Any decent keeper could have saved it.

Should we really care how much money a Japanese club makes off of a Korean player?

It's not as if KBK gets any of that money. And we all hate his agent, so...

couldn't care less who gets the money. it's a good indication of how much the "market" believes the player is worth.

Its better for KBK to be at a championship side than some of the bottom scraping EPL sides I think. Or perhaps thats still me trying to make the best of the situation.

Cardiff City's about as good as a bottom-scraping EPL side, if not a little better.
