Has anyone looked at their season ticket renewal options yet? The email says "save up to 19% off 2012 season ticket prices".

I looked at our invoice and it's $36/more for two tickets and we are in Section 105. What is this discount that they are speaking of? We have an email in to our ticket rep asking some questions, so we're waiting to see the official word.

    Anyone else have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    C-i-C

You may have gotten a discount *last* year that had you lower than 2012 prices. The discount last year was off 2011 prices as I recall. I seem to recall it was advertised as "beat the price increase".

I was just coming here to post a question about this.

My prices have gone up, so I don't see how that's a discount.

You're right that there was a discount offered last year. However, we upgraded from 228 to 105 (preferred east or somethign like that), so our 2012 cost was the same as 2011.
Regardless, the invoice shows no discount, so I don't know what the "retail" prices is for the 2013 season tickets. The email says specifically, "Renew now and save up to 19% off 2012 season ticket prices."

Your cost in 2012 may not have been the same as the actual cost (list price) for 2012 season tickets. You probably got a discount if your price was the same as 2011. So your invoice could well be more than you paid in 2012--but still a discount of the list price.

Ken, you may be correct in your logic. My thing is that if you are going to say it's discounted, then show HOW it's discounted. First glance and it sounds and looks shady.

More importantly, we have two guys on our account. And we can not get the STH perks for both members. Apparently, it's by acct and not by # of tickets. How much sense does that make?

I can understand a few cases where it would make sense to get multiple items, even if you'd have to pay extra for those additional items. I don't think most people would mind that.

I think their logic is with the families that buy multiple full season packages for the parents and their kids. The FO may think they won't want additional blankets, photos at the white house, or whatever the item is.

The general assumption is that discounts are a discount off the list price. That's always been my assumption. I'll bet there's fine print or an asterisk somewhere on that one here. As far as the second goes, why not just have two accounts--unless you are family in some way, shape, or form? I do know that they've gone back and forth on perks through the years--some perks are per ticket and some are per account.

So guess I did not get as much of a discount as some of you because it looks about equal.
I think it means "19% off 2012 season tickets" if you bought them at full price. Talk to your ticket rep. The ticket reps have always been very good and helpful.
