If I remember things correctly, the god awful refereeing played a big role in our loss to Egypt. But obviously that's no excuse to take them lightly, best to mentally approach this game as if we're playing Brazil.

I'm really feeling the tension. This a great chance.
I hope the guys will be able to make it: it would be a door to, at least, a medal.

Well this is a bit of a break through. Apparently Youtube live streams every Olympic event, including soccer matches. It's broadcasting Japan/Egypt right now in good quality, English commentary. Fingers crossed for the semifinals...

A better start already. I like how Kiyotake and Higashi found the time to go get their hair done lol

They look really lively to start this game, just as if they picked this game up against Honduras in that second half yesterday. Positive stuff!

Nagai and Kiyotake t start have really been driving Japan, great passing by Kiyotake especially..theyre really on the same page...and wow, Suzuki just missed a wide open header all he had to do was touch it....should have been a goal...big time miss.

If he missed that one it would have been horrible lol. Nagai causing havoc again. Looks hurt though.

Wtf that Egypt defender deserves a RED CARD at least YELLOW CARD!!! If Nagai is injured for the rest of the competition it's terrible for Japan!

Egypt defender and keeper down after colliding, and Nagai is down after a retreating player rammed into him from behind after the goal.
