Two reasons, First, on his first stint, he gets there late and gets injured. on his second sting again, issues with visa, doesnt get there til after training and the first match i believe. Other than that we can come up with a million scenarios about it, and i'm with you it doesnt add up, the kid def has talent.
For the sake of our national team I hope this kid gets more playing time, He has great talent; However the last time I saw him play an entire game was in the south american u-17, I got to say though he was impresive. Patience is key in his development.
Our boy is training with CD Lugo, they're were just promoted to Liga Adelante... http://www.vavel.com/es/futbol/segunda/cd-lugo/177713-galindo-se-entrena-con-el-cd-lugo.html
good to hear from him again. I was starting to wonder what was going to happen with him. I hope his year finally arrives and he establishes himself with some consistent game minutes.
Does it seem like he keeps going down in club name? One thing for sure, he's already there training unlike the previous occasions. I do hope he gets the playing time he deserves
From what I understand from the article, since arriving in Spain they have been turning him into a defensive mid more than his natural position of playmaker and offensive mid. Mentions that Nastic was using him for more defensive purposes. Hopefully he reall excels this year.
Looked a little more into this and this article says he is trying out for the club. The management for this guy seems to be horrendous. http://www.cdlugo.es/2012/07/galindo-y-adil-siguen-a-prueba/
I read an article that says Galindo is out of Arsenal, that's why he's trying out with CD Lugo... but the source doesn't seem to reliable (blog); however still worries me... I hope it's only a rumor and I'm waiting for Arsenal to confirm the loan soon. He only needs one more season in Spain to be able to play for Arsenal... Lets hope he actually gets playing time this time!
Yikes, like the saying goes... where there is smoke.... there is fire! If he indeed is out, I hope he can find a way to stay in spain.
There is no way he will play for Arsenal, even if they decide to keep him. He never established himself as an A player in neither of the two spanish clubs. He will probably end up in some former soviet country, or will get lost in the second or third division of Spain.
I dont expect them to play him right away, but with th work permit maybe he can play on their B team where they can take a closer look and guide him better, or loan him to a smaller first division team or second division. He's only 20 I think he still has a shot.
I dont think so. MANY young players never pan out for Arsenal. He probably will be one. Not a big deal. He still has huge potential. Hurts playing him as a d mid as he isnt one.
SG will play 2012-2013 with CD Lugo in the Spanish 2nd division: http://elprogreso.galiciae.com/nova/189374.html
He seems to be going from bad to worse...Salamanca, Nastic and now Lugo. These guys are bottom feeders who spend most of the time in the 3rd division. He should get back to Bolivia and play for a team that gets chances to the Libertadores o La Sudamericana.
First of all, the spanish second division is miles far above the bolivian league. As long as Galindo gets consistent playing time, it won't matter. He is quality and he needs to get back to the National team and Arsenal.
Maybe better, but not miles far above. Plus, Galindo has not even been able to cut it in this division. So, far, all he has been is a mediocre player playing for three mediocre second division teams, all of which are always fighting not to be relegated to third.
From the limited stuff I saw of him, It seems they wanted him to be more of a def. mid, which he really isn't. He's a creative central midfielder, riquelme like, like his hero. That is the REAL issue IMO.
As much as it hurts me I have to agree with Marco. After the u-17 when he showed so much potential many of us were ready to let him take our national team to the next level, however he has not progressed as a "superstar" does. There is really nothing to talk about he has been mediocre. Even if he is being changed to a different position, quality is quality, plus it's not like they are putting him in goal, or telling him to run the wings. I still hold out hope for this guy, maybe this will be the turning point.
Tell that to Riquelme. They tried to turn him into a winger when he went to Barcelona. It wasn't until he got to Pellegrini at Villarreal, who let him play as an 'enganche' which he was used to playing like back in Argentina, where he really shined. I think Galindo is in the same mold. He isn't a defensive midfielder FIRST. He needs to play where he naturally plays. If htey can't do that, then maybe he's in the wrong league! He needs to go to Argentina. He could be our Gio Moreno.
Calendar of matches: http://www.cdlugo.com/ligas/calendario/1/segunda-division-b-calendario.html SG did not play in the first match in a 1-0 victory over Hercules
Sammy G is a 2nd half sub in CD Lugo's 1-1 tie vs. Córdoba http://www.cdlugo.com/noticias/ver/160/noticia.html
Looks like SG is getting some solid playing time. He's name is on the lineup as a starter against Racing. http://www.cdlugo.com/noticias/ver/164/noticia.html
So he played a total of 4 games so far, 1 as a starter and 3 as a sub. Lugo played 6 games so far...not to bad for him, but things are not looking to good for his team.
