I think you are right. I like the guy, always have, but he's going to keep us at our current level. He's not going to get us to the next level....

Post some links to back that up.

Miles B. posted he heard a rumor about Cazorla on 7/11 but that was it. Later, I followed up with my information that something would be happening soon. Prior to that, the last mention of Cazorla on the Arsenal board was August 2011.

Who cares who read a Twitter story first? Focking Twitter makes everyone a football agent

why? i'd already read it when you posted it. i remember seeing your post and not really bothering specifically BECAUSE i'd already read the same elsewhere and was wary of commenting on what was then just still just a breaking rumour. i don't want the glory for reading something online.
are you miles.b? no? sorry, you don't get kudos for someone else's posts.
actually, shouldn't miles.b be stealing your sought after limelight? obviously he posted about it WAYYYYYYY before you did.
good for you, and where exactly did YOU see it? you think no one else sees things? do you have secret insider info on arsenal, malaga or cazorla transfers?

as i said, when i read your post (which was quite soon after you posted it) i'd already read online that cazorla was a target. if you're looking for some kind of street cred or stick on gold stars then you're not getting any from me for reposting what was already out there

Scally and Val, have you guys really seen Cazorla? I totally disagree with you guys, Cazorla would be a major asset to AFC. He has the creativity, experience and vision that we are sorely lacking in midfield. Huge addition!

PS. Who do you think AFC (realistically) could buy that would bring the team to the " next level"?

    Thin skinned, much?

Thanks for showing the board that you have nothing to contribute.

    Here's what Miles posted:
Some suggestions were in for Santi Cazorla
rumours we were after a basque player, one who went to Euro 2012 but was practically unused. Might be rubbish of course.

I posted that people can expect information on Cazorla specifically very soon and to get a conversation started (which it did). You do know what thread this is, right?

Yeah - Its not at all clear what is going on at Malaga. Some are saying they are going to pay up by a July 31 deadline, but why haven't they been paying all along if they have so much money? Is there some kind of tax reason for delaying payment? It doesn't make sense.

nothing wrong with discussing rumours or posting them, but, please, don't look for kudos for repeating something else on the internet. it's just not cool.

Very well said. I think he showed massive promise, TBH. He's young and was thrown to the wolves. He's no Sagna, but who is? I think he'll be fine.

Someone was passing the ball to Robin last year. I'm not sure a new playmaker is as critical as many of you seem to believe. It would have been nice to have replaced Cesc with a player of equal skill and vision, but Van Persie received enough service last year to score 30 plus goals. The bigger problem was the goals allowed. I'd be happy with one new full back with solid defensive instincts.

I've seen him maybe a dozen times over the past 5-6 years. I'm not knocking him, I just haven't been overly impressed. Kind of like I can see why he's good enough to make the Spanish team, but not good enough to play much.

"Realistically".... who can take us to the next level? No one. We're not realistically moving to the next level. We are stuck where we are, aiming to get out of group stages of the CL and domestically targeting the CL for each subsequent year. Cazorla would do that for us, much like getting Arteta last season saved us for top 4. If we wanted to get to the next level, we'd get (using Spanish wingers as the metaphor) David Silva. He's better than Cazorla.

My guess is that wont happen. We're banking on Ramsey growing into that role or perhaps Wilshere depending on which direction his skills develop.

We've got Rosicky. And Ramsey looked up for it against Brazil's olympic team.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not thrilled about those options, but they're serviceable.

I also think it's possible that we could see the Ox in that role, though I've read nothing to that effect.
