I was talking with some guys about games suspended by rain and found this game from Argentina from 2010. Notice, that even when the rain is coming down like crazy, the fans keep on singing.
Keep an eye out tomorrow for some badassery in our own city. The freaking singing is going to be loud! Edited after Derby: This is actually what I wanted everybody to see. My friend Jedi made it. That's one nice banner!
Last night, Corinthians defeated Boca Juniors in the second leg of the final of the Copa Libertadores in the Pacaembu stadium in São Paulo. Corinthians, which have the largest fan base in São Paulo and probably the second largest in Brazil, have been after this title for a long time. Here are some pics:
The pics above are from São Paulo, where Corinthians are based. But here are a few more from a Corinthians viewing party in Manaus, which is in the Amazon basin, over 2,400 miles from São Paulo. Before: After -- not sure Orange Bar or Lucky's would be ok with this :
Last night, Coritiba hosted Palmeiras in the second leg of the final of the Copa do Brasil (local version of the FA Cup or USOC). The visitors took the trophy, but here's a great pic of the home supporters:
Ok, now that is los de cielo! I mean it reads at the base of their hinchada ETERNAMENTE. Very well shown folks.
There's a part of me that's happy to see the Rangers descend all the way to the 4th division of Scottish Football, but I'm also saddened by the fact that Celtic won't be able to play in the Old Firm. I would celebrate if FC Frisco gets sent to the USL due to attendance or gets moved to another city, because they are our freaking rivals and I hate the city of Dallas. However, I would miss the Derby. Enough of this...I just wanted to show a chart that shows the average attendance of the division in which Rangers will play this upcoming season.
to hell with em.. thats where they belong. THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!! (insert energy wave noise going from rangers carcass onto celtic)
I'm happy, too, but now there's no Old Firm. Why are y'all like that?! Wishing harm upon other teams and stuff. :/
You can't compare SPL attendance with the Third Division. Besides, Rangers deserves the relegation. Rangers thought the SPL would change the rules to keep them at the top flight in order to preserve lucrative TV rights. How mistaken they were.
Cruel n crazy is our sport, the sport the World agrees on. It IS life. And Rangers can still suck it.
uh-oh, our East German cousins are in trouble (again). http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2012...any-dresden-ban.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&_r=0
