He's listed in some places as being American; he's definitely an '89 with Stuttgarter Kickers' U-19s, same team as Scott Rogers.
The German-American 1989 was promoted to the first team of SV Stuttgarter Kickers for 10/11. http://www.stuttgarter-kickers.de/staticsite/staticsite.php?menuid=425&topmenu=28&keepmenu=inactive
He is still on the roster for the 2011/12 season. The other YA, Parham is still listed on the 2nd team.
He's started all but one game for Kickers so far, going 90 in most of them. Three goals to boot. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/en/royal-dominique-fennell/leistungsdaten/spieler_58004.html http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...26/54171/spieler_royal-dominique-fennell.html
his team could be promoted, but he is a solid starter since he was 20, he might get picked up and start to climb the latter anyway. I mentioned his name in Youth National teams because there are few realistic options at centerback for our Olympic qualifying.
Yeah it makes sense. He is playing the same level as John Anthony Brooks and seems to be doing well. Gale is in the same league but not even playing.
invited to the U23/U20 camp in germany according to the team website: http://www.stuttgarter-kickers.de/magazin/artikel.php?artikel=3820&type=&menuid=29&topmenu=28 google translated
Wow -- another guy we've been posting about for years gets a callup. https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=602030 It's like U.S. Soccer just hired someone to read through our archives...
Fennell went 90 in a 3-0 win over Jahn George and the Nurnburg reserves in his last game before travelling to Duisburg for the camp. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...garter-kickers-26_1-fc-nuernberg-ii-3287.html
Fennell went the full 90 in this weekend's 0-1 loss to Waldhof Mannheim. This put an end to the Kickers' 7-game winning streak and 8-game unbeaten streak. They are still top of their division though.
I understand that Fennell is playing at the same level as many of our other youth prospects, but does he have a similar ceiling? I ask because he wasn't highly regarded, like the others. Is he simply more polished than some of the others, at this point, or is he good enough to continue in the USMNT system?
Kickers won 4-0 this weekend. They have a 7 point lead in 1st place. Fennell went 90. He has started 21 out of 25 games for them this season.
Fennell has missed the last two games with an injury but he did make the bench last weekend for Stuttgart Kickers. Kickers can clinch promotion to the 3.Liga on Friday with a win over Memmingen combined with Sonnenhof Großaspach failing to win their game over Hoffenheim II Kickers are 6 points clear of second place Sonnenhof Großaspach with 3 games to play
Looks like that's him in the photo -- wearing #26. http://www.stuttgarter-kickers.de/mannschaft/steckbrief.php?topmenu=28&menuid=506&perid=335
