even if udinese make the groups, it's not like they are going to collect any points for italy's coefficient. maybe a win and a draw...nothing more. what about the italian teams in the EL??? will any take that competition seriously???
They're only a success in respect to the business aspect of football. But their actions in regards to "sport", their fans, and the Italian football in general is nothing short of a disgrace.
that's the real question. and after the performances of the past few years (juve roma palermo pretty much any of our teams in it) the answer appears to be a resounding NO!
while in a way i agree with this, i also have to look it from another angle. no one gets mad if catania, or a genoa, or samp etc sell their players as they are mid table teams. udinese is a mid table team and knows it. they scout, buy low sell high unapologetically. although it is sad, it is not a model absent from football, all teams outside of the elite do this. they just happen to have found results in the midst of it. although i do think it's stupid just bought watford and owns grenada while he could have invested all that money in udinese.
exactly. 6th rate league here we come! oh well....milan carried the league for a long time, it's someone else's turn to step up.
wait, a clarification on the way coefficients work. i've never thought of this, but are EL wins worth just as much as CL wins? because if so, it would probably be easier for us to get points by having udinese lose and put in another solid EL campaign rather than make CL groups but get swept out? or am i missing something. if that is plauisble, that is a big error in coefficient equations IMO.
yes but none of those teams ever make the CL lol Cagliari is a team i think purposely trys missing european comps that or their owner really is a complete nut...
All the problems will be solved if they scrap the Europa League all together ONE EUROPE, ONE COMPETITION, NO FILLER BULLSHIT
