Hi guys, theres a sale going on at a local shop and i'm thinking of getting a pair of boots for my friend's birthday. However his birthday is in November, and the sale ends next week. Would there be any problem with me buying the boots and then leaving it in a cupboard till then?
Ask your friend what size he is (eg 8 1/2) and order a couple up. Going bigger is safer than trying to estimate perfectly (if their feet are still growing so maybe 9, 9 1/2, 10 if 81/2). If not growing buy em and stay in the cupboard away from light and dust. I would just wait till the day comes and buy em. Paying a few extra 30 dollars or even 50 wouldnt annoy me, knowing im playin safe.
Still only 17, so a bit strapped for cash heh. Will leaving it boxed in the cupboard affect it's durability/anything else?
Well....it shouldn't. Last year I bought a pair of Nike 10R Kangaroo leather cleats, which were made in 2006/7. They must have been in a box for AGES and lasted extremely well though on one of the cleats the Upper came a tiny bit undone from the soleplate (but for that long I was surprised). Literally only 4-5 mm came of so......I would say no. What boots are thinking of anyways?
Oh ok.....well I haven't ever owned a pair of vapors, but my friend bought a pair of last seasons vapor 7's (white, windchill, blue colourway) and hes not using them till he grows in them (Only were $60 so...). There holding up fantastic nothing wrong with them. So any boot would do good for a few months. Clear up with your friend, find out what he wants etc etc.....
How do the Neo Estrela's fit? All of it, length and width through the entire shoe. And if possible could you compare the fit to any of the following: Mizuno Supersonic Wave ii, Legend iv, synthetic adizero ii's, Ctr 1 or 2's. Also how long does Rakuten sports guide take to ship to Canada, and is there duties? Thanks in advance
I've seen there website a few times in the past, look legit and you can follow them on fb/twitter and at the bottom on the site it says who owns the website and its start fitness so they are obviously a store which does all kinda of sports
Yeah i think i've seen 'startfitness' stuff on eBay before too but i've never known anyone get anything off either website or through eBay so i'm a bit unsure. Was looking to get some Adi 5 X-Pro, saw them on PDS a while back but didn't pull the trigger and now i cant find them in my size anywhere but Startfootball. I picked up the X-ites a while back but i really dont like the feel of the mesh upper so i might sell them and find me something in leather instead, ideally k-leather but thats pretty much impossible with turf shoes these days. I'm really tempted to try some Lotto boots as well, was going to get some Fuerzapura II's but PDS sold out of my size in those now too so i might look at the Stadio Potenza II instead, PDS have only got the Tricolor ones in at the moment though.
yeah I'm not a fan of the mesh of the adi5 range, horrid and doesn't hold your foot shape at all and just goes all flat. why not go to the nike outlet in west from and see if they have some nike bomba finale in?
What do you guys think about the new nike boots? The ones Neymar will be apparently using, the Nike GS? http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/Prod...Soccer-Cleats-VoltBlackBlack-47921.aspx?spr=1
I might end up going for some more Bomba Finale in the end, they're a bit narrow for my feet but the ones i've got at the moment are the original colour that i had on pre-order so they're about 2 years old. They've softened up a treat and fit my foot perfectly now, was just thinking if i could find something that fit a bit better from the off and preferably leather. Think i need to try and shop to a budget more this season, spent too much money i didn't need to on boots last season, never even wore the SG Wave Ignitus that i bought and got some Legend IV's i've barely used too.
I know my question is out of place, but the other thread for Apparel, is stack ed with techfit shirt threads and I don't think people there could help me with my question. I'm looking to getting an official match ball, i'd really like to see something "different" from your regular ball. I was thinking the Jabulani but have heard it isn't a very good ball for regular training which I plan to do. Or if anyone could recommend a ball that will not rip or deflate after a couple weeks I would appreciate it even more, I am in Mexico a lot and we are always playing on dirt and concrete even here at home. I'm just tired of all these $20 balls falling apart after only a bit of use.
I've been looking for a pair of cleats for my brother to wear for his upcoming high school season. He's an outside midfielder (size 7.5). We're kind of strapped to a budget (around $40) so can someone recommend a boot that's fairly cheap but still quality?
Mercurial4991 there is ball review thread in the apparel and gear thread. If you go and look on there it has reivews for most high end balls as well as suggestions on which one to get. You might need to scroll down to see it as it might not have been commented on for a few weeks but its there, and its really helpful. appleCORR
