Actually that is the new schedule, the previous schedule was Everton Vs Galatasaray, but since Everton will arrived a day late, so Galatasaray will face Indonesia first.

I think almost football fans in Indonesia knows Galatasaray. If you ask any football fans from Indonesia about Turkish Football Team, they will answer Galatasaray, Fenerbache, Besiktas.

If the deal happened then Bustomi will be the 2nd Indonesian Player that play in Japan Top Division, the 1st player was Ricky Yacobi in the 1988 with Matshusita (Now Gamba Osaka)

 

The league just ended. Christian Febre who played with PSM now joins a club in Ekuador. Julio lopez was playing for Persijap at IPL. I will give you an update for the next season.

Football: Tough Luck for Indonesia in Asia Cup Draw

Indonesian football would be well advised to end its internal conflicts now, as the national team is set to face a daunting task in the 2015 Asia Cup qualifying rounds.

The Merah Putih was drawn into a tough Group C with three-time champion Saudi Arabia, 2007 champion Iraq and East Asia powerhouse China. The preliminary draw was made in Melbourne on Tuesday.

The top two teams from each of five groups and the best third-placed team among all the groups will qualify for the tournament proper to be held in Australia in 2015.

Indonesia coach Nil Maizar looked stunned when he was informed about the results of the draw.

“It’s tough and won’t be an easy job for us. [The opponents] are great teams with great reputations,” he said during a national team training session at Gelora Bung Karno in Jakarta on Tuesday.

“The most important thing is to prepare the team very well.”

Building the strongest national team possible will be a tall order for the coach, amid an ongoing rift between the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and the Indonesian Football Savior Committee (KPSI) that has left local football divided over the past two years.

Nil has been left with the limited options for his squad as the breakaway Indonesian Super League clubs have so far been reluctant to release their players for national team call-ups.

The coach has been forced to cobble a team together from largely young and inexperienced players from the official Indonesian Premier League.

Meanwhile, the KPSI has established its own version of a national squad, dubbed “The Real Garuda.” The team, consisting of players from the ISL, has been training in Malang since August under former national team coach Alfred Riedl of Austria.

The KPSI has tried to drum up support for its squad, and last week challenged the Merah Putih to a match so as to determine which team would better represent Indonesia in international competition.

The PSSI rejected the challenge, labeling it as an “emotional” gesture.

“We should be thinking about ways to end this conflict and develop Indonesian football. And emotional decisions like that won’t help us,” national team supervisor Bernhard Limbong said.

If the PSSI and KPSI fail to come to an agreement soon, it will be difficult for Nil to select the strongest possible team for the tournament.

But even without internal conflicts lowering Indonesia’s chances, qualifying for the tournament will be a tough task.

Indonesia, at 170th, is the lowest-ranked team in Group C. Iraq is 80th in the international governing body FIFA’s rankings.China is 85th, while the Saudis are 113th.

On the pitch, the national team has never won against Saudi Arabia or Iraq, and has only won once in 12 meetings against China — a 2-0 win in a 1958 World Cup qualifier.

The other teams also have high-profile head coaches. Brazil legend Zico is in-charge of Iraq and Dutchman Frank Rijkaard leads Saudi Arabia. Spaniard Jose Antonio Camacho has been at helm of China’s national team since 2011.

The Merah Putih will start its campaign away to Iraq on Feb. 6, 2013, followed by a home leg against Saudi Arabia on Feb. 22. After a long break, Indonesia will then host China on Oct. 15, and play an away leg to China on Nov. 15. Four days later, Iraq will visit Jakarta. The qualification campaign is expected to conclude on March 5, 2014, when Merah Putih plays an away leg to Saudi Arabia.

Defending champion Japan, 2011 runner-up Australia, South Korea and North Korea all qualified automatically for the finals, leaving 20 nations competing for the other 11 spots.

Three-time champion Iran was drawn with Kuwait, Thailand and Lebanon in Group B, while neighbors Jordan and Syria were both drawn into Group A.

Indonesia Target Lilipaly To Reinforce Squad?

JAKARTA (23 Sept 2012) –The FA of Indonesia (PSSI) are weighing their options forward and are considering midfielder Stefano Lilipaly to reinforce the team as they gear up for their next phase of preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup in November.
Lilipaly is but one of a handful of foreign-based players Indonesia are looking at to give more bite to the national squad which thus far has been anything but impressive.
“If they are willing to join and if the club allows them, why not?” quipped Habil Marati, the team manager of Indonesia. “We will have a look at these players and we will see whether we want to call them up.”
Born in Holland, Lilipaly currently plays for Almere City in the Dutch Second Division. The playmaker received his Indonesian naturalization papers last year.
Among the other players whom the PSSI are also looking at are Arthur Irawan (at Espanyol and four others – Syamsir Alam, Jericho Christianto, Alfin Tuasalamony and Yandi Sofyan – who are with Belgium side CS Vise.
“These are just options that we are considering as for the moment, we still have players capable to fill each position,” he added.

Indonesia were, curiously, the first Asian country to qualify for a FIFA World Cup™. They nevertheless got there through the back door, after first Japan and then USA declined the chance to face them in a play-off for a place at France 1938. The Gallic adventure of the Dutch East Indies, as they were known before independence from the Netherlands, lasted just 90 minutes, though. Johannes van Mastenbroek’s charges were thumped 6-0 by Hungary. Not one of them was ever capped again. Indonesia are the only team to have played just one FIFA World Cup match. Default did, however, earn the south-east Asian archipelago a place at another major competition. Indeed, when the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament Melbourne 1956 was besieged with drop-outs, Indonesia were, due to proximity, handed what all and sundry assumed would be a solitary appearance. Their opponents in the second round were, after all, a magnificent Soviet Union side. It included outstanding players such as Lev Yashin, Igor Netto, Eduard Streltsov and Valentin Ivanov. It had beaten West Germany, the reigning world champions, in the first round. It was en route to becoming the maiden European champions. Yet the hulking Soviet Union defenders were quickly given a rude awakening when Ramang, a pint-sized deep-lying forward, skipped past two of them and forced Yashin into a fine fingertip save. And although Gavril Kachalin’s men monopolised possession thereafter, they were frustrated by their failure to ripple the underdogs’ net and by the skills of Ramang on the counter-attack. The 32-year-old would have even snatched Indonesia the mother of all upsets in the 84th minute had it not been for another marvellous stop from the man widely regarded as the greatest goalkeeper in football history.

If the Soviets hadn’t known who Ramang was before that match, they certainly paid him attention heading into the replay. So much so that Kachalin ordered Netto, the team’s playmaker-in-chief, to adopt a more defensive role in order to negate the impact of the Indonesian No11. It worked. Soviet Union won 4-0. The fact that the Soviets went on to seize gold in Melbourne augmented the legend of that epic Indonesian performance, which remains one of the most stunning results in Olympic history. Yet it was merely the capstone in a national pomp indebted to Ramang. Intrinsically fast and having developed immaculate control by performing keepy-ups with oranges as a child, the attacker scored with military regularity following his Indonesia debut in 1952. Nineteen goals in just six games –including two trademark overhead-kicks –came during their Far East tour the ensuing year, in which the Indonesians lost only to Korea Republic. Ramang then netted back-to-back braces as Indonesia eliminated China PR in Sweden 1958 qualifying, but they withdrew from the running for a FIFA World Cup berth after refusing to take on Israel for political reasons. Shortly before that tournament unfolded, Indonesia seized consolation by beating India 4-1 to finish third at the Asian Games, while after losing their opener to Korea Republic at the 1960 Merdeka Tournament, the Ramang-inspired Indonesians smashed home 20 goals in four consecutive victories to claim bronze. And when East Germany visited Jakarta for what they assumed would be a comfortable victory in 1959, Ramang broke the deadlock with a superb piledriver before his mazy run led to Endang Witarsa’s second in a 2-2 draw. It was one of innumerable occasions fans of Indonesia or PSM Makassar, the club at which Ramang spent the majority of his career, were thrilled by a man who was forced to work low-pay jobs and live on the breadline just to indulge in the sport he loved. And while arguably Indonesia’s greatest-ever footballer passed away 25 years ago this Wednesday, the legend of Ramang will continue to be told.

John Heitinga can not wait to visit Indonesia

John Heitinga said that he is really interested to visit the birthplace of his grandfather and his father,which is Indonesia, that he and the Holland National team will visit next year.
Heitinga is a Holland national player that has more than 80 Caps for the national team since his debut 8 years ago. Since Euro 2004, he always represent the back line of Holland NT. A week ago Holland NT has confirmed their Summer Asian Tour to China and Indonesia as their main destination. Heitinga is one of the player that really excited with the tour because it has a personal value for him.
"My dad was born in Jakarta, Indonesia. In the end of 1950 he came to Holland with my grandparent. So that means I have Indonesian blood from my father, my Mom is Dutch. My parent met in Holland"
