I guess Ramires isn't being called right now because we are preparing for the Olympics. All but 6 players of his recent call-up are under-23, and and all the overaged players play in positions we currently lack good youngsters ( CBs, SBs, Striker). The 3 overaged spots for the Olympics will probably go for players in these positions, so that's why Ramires wasn't called... However I think he would do good at RB :p

He should learn how to dribble and not kick and run after the ball.

Ramires will be on the team for the World Cup. I have no doubt in my mind. But right now, Mano is focusing on building the midfield with U23 players for the Olympics, and beyond. Mano has lavished praised on Ramires' recent form, but he also said that the way Ramires is used at Chelsea runs counter to how he would be used on the national team. Ramires would have to play one of the holding roles, and it seems that one spot will be Lucas Leiva or Sandro. Then you have the other midfield spot, which given recent friendlies and club play, will possibly be Hernanes. And other spot will be for Ganso or Oscar. Ramires is definitely one of my favorite players, but I think for Brazil's current scheme, he is a player that is better suited off the bench.

Thanks for the explanation. Chelsea will have real wingers next season, including possibly Hulk, so I suspect Ramires will play more in central midfield again. If we do buy Hulk, would be great to see 3 Chelsea players start for Brazil in the World Cup!

That's not important in German law. He burnt down living rooms and this means a massive influence on other persons' live. The fire was so strong that only convenient circumstances preserve the houses around to catch alight too. His abuse of drugs and alcohol was considered- without he could get arrested way longer. In Germany you can be released after 3/4 of the time, so he will probably be arrested just under 3 years.

Shakhtar have signed the best goalscorer of both ukrainian league and cup of 11/12 season - Maicon, ex-Volyn.

    His league goals

Funny fact that he netted the vast majority of goals playing away. The 9th one scored at Shakhtar.
Now with him there's 10 brazukas at Shakhtar, excluding croatian international Eduardo.

How comes that Luiz Gustavo of Bayern Munich never gets a Calls up for the National Team? he was one of the reason Bayern reach the final last Year in the Champions League.

I agree. And I like the experience he would bring to the midfield. IMO, Brasil is trying to force things too soon with so many young players.

Hernanes is the CMF we are looking for IMO. And it's not like he is old, he is 27, will be only 29 at the WC. Theoretically he still has 2 WCs on him.

    --------------------Diego Alves---------------
    DanielA-----ThiagoS------DavidL-----Marcelo
    ----------------------Arouca---------------------
    ----------Hernanes------------Paulinho--------
    -----------------------Oscar---------------------
    ---------Damião/Hulk--------Neymar----------

That's a good midfield IMO. Everyone knows how to pass, are competent with the ball on their feet, plus the CMFs can cover the SBs and let them attack freely.

Have any of you guys been paying attention to Anderson @ Manchester United so far this season? He's been very good compared to his past displays. His passing selection and range has been good. Short passes, through balls, long passes, crossfield switches of play... he's shown he can do it all. He's getting a little better with consistency as far as moments during the game. He's also running through the midfield and creating havoc for most teams.

Of course he still really cant shoot. But his major problem is his fitness. He cant play 90 minutes of the same level. At best he will give you 60 good minutes, then after that he fades from the game, but still occasionally goes on a run.

I still think its too early to expect a call up, but if he continues on this path and his fitness improves a lot as the season goes by, I think he can claim that open spot next to Michael Carrick in Utds midfield, and also stake a claim for the national team. Everyone can use a dynamic creative force in the middle.

    Also Rafael Da Silva.

He's my favorite player right now. Its impossible not to love him. He's clearly starting RB at Utd and IMO he should be 2nd choice behind Alves, fighting with Danilo for the NT.

Sure he has his moments defensively, but he makes up for it. Something that often gets over looked, he's a good 1 v 1 defender. He's shackled Gareth Bale, Frank Ribery and many more wingers already in his career and he's onyl 22.
