Very frustrating. I think he tries too hard. The lower the expectations, the better he plays and vice versa. Getting experience and playing time would probably help this lack of mental maturity.

He's a talent. He can be something big in the future. I have to say this. But my point is, as long as he's not a starter at his team he'll not develop quickly and if he don't become better player at these years, he could be a wasted talent, really.

I can't see him start at HSV next year. I'm convinced that he'll become a better player and he will get rid of his weaknesses if he play as starter constantly in a team with a less expectation (Augsburg, Dusseldorf). Hamburg is a team with high expectation. Look at Maxi Beister. He loaned to Dusseldorf for 2 years and developed to be the best player in 2.Bundesliga and helped his team for promotion. Now he is coming back to Hamburg and possibly will play in the starting 11. Would he do that at Hamburg? definitely, no. That's in my opinion what should happen to Son.

Son is the best player in the world when it comes to friendlies. That's prove his talent :p and that he need to play more and more.

As the club is currently constituted, he wouldn't start but he'd also be one Guerrero meltdown away from doing so :)

The first problem is that Hamburg rakes in so much money from SHM's presence that I think they're reluctant to let him go. Plus it seems the fans like him tons too and even loaning him out for his benefit could be perceived poorly.

The second one is that Hamburg is poor and has so many other needs that I think that even in his current state, he'd be better than who they could afford. He's better than Berg for example.

The third is that his development has improved even if his maturity seems to be going in slow mo. He really was a more solid passer and capable of handling some physical contact in the last third of the season. Perhaps HSV thinks that he's about to hit the steep part of the j-curve.

No SHM in the Olympics. I guess if he was going to stay in the bench behind PCY and JDW...

    As for rumors:

Paolo Guerrero is rumored to be going to Napoli (if they can figure out his huge salary) and Berg is on th market
But then are interested in sagbo

So he'd be striker number three in either case

As for playing behind, arslan signed an extension and there's continued talk of VdV returning

Playing left, jansen signed an extension too.

Yeah it was pretty much expected to be honest. Not that I hate Son or anything, but its the way Hong Myung Bo's team works. Someone like him who has never played a single game under team Hong Myung Bo was never going to get called up for the London games.

But good thing is he still has the 2014 Incheon AG. If he wants that medal that is..

A bit disappointed because I think he's better than JDW and would help the team but he needs to get a playing spot his year or exemption will be moot. He wouldn't get a transfer sitting on the bench either.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if his father was a factor in HMB's decision of leaving him out... Anyway jdw is probably a better fit than shm for this squad...

As an aside, Petric is going to Fulham. Not bad for a guy who scored so few goals last season and was always injured on a team that barely avoided relegation in the BL.

Guess it helps to have your old manager there :)

Still not sure about NTH's footballing skills, but I definitely like his haircut the best. And it's been exactly the same since his Reading days.

Didn't Hwangbo Gwan and Kim Joosung have long hair, even before Ahn?

AJH actually looks alpha with his hair. But this dude coloring his hair like some redhead gothic chick is just scary.

Oxymoron is when a group of Americans with military haircuts talk about hairstyle.

Red hair is much easier on the eye than the infamous blonde dye. In fact, outside of our indigenous black, I've never seen a hair colour that looks more natural on Koreans than red. It looks even more native than brown hair.

Got to hand it AJH though, his 파마머리 was very popular during and after 2002 Fifa World Cup.
