Norwich City & Sevilla, can't complain...both teams are tough to play against and more than enough to give Favre proper calibration of our "Colt's "

First round in the DFB-Pokal: At Alemannia Aachen. The top game of round 1, I think.

First matchday in Bundesliga against Babbel's Hoffenheim.

Difficult team with a capable manager. Both teams deeply restructured with Derdiok and Wiese as main signings for Hoppenheim. Derdiok despite his history with Leverkusen would have been a perfect signing for us.. :\

Gladbach has a good record outcome for the first matchday although I would be satisfied with a draw.

The first match will be Dortmund vs Bremen which is a mirror of the first Bundesliga match ever.

You guys are very close to signing Alvaro Dominguez, the upcoming centreback in Spain for 8m. Guess Eberl is trying very very hard to please Favre and keep him from Bayern Munich.
Is it Hoilett or De Jong next?

Am hoping for "De Jong" personally.Favre does not seem like a coach that would easily get "Pleased" in order to relinquish his post . He is also not one to just jump on the Hollywood Euro Wagon! But then looking at "Dante" and how he acted and sounded ..and finally what happened and we all witnessed..who knows? Favre is very methodical and analytical, a visionary of sorts so to speak, when he took over VFL he pointed out his love and deep respect for this traditional club and that if the tools are present he would really like to elevate this club back to its peak.So i hope there is something special here at the "Park" for Favre to not let go and become part of this clubs history.Something truly special:) there are also way more attractive outfits and organizations out there that would appeal to Favre before FC Hollywood and that scares me more!
Last but not least,i would feel more in danger if Hans Meyer left, he may just seem as a board member & behind the scenes but that guy is a true blessing for our organization!

Their first priority is De Jong but his price has just shot up. But still, you had the best transfer session so far in the Bundesliga. I hope Hoilett and either Guidetti or de Jong join you too. That would be a great squad for the CL and has the potential to tackle the other Borussia in the near future.

Previously all the teams who had brought a lot of young talented players had always an epic fall. Wolfsburg and Hamburg for example. It seems a curse for the Bundesliga.

Now let's sign a good striker + Raffael from Hertha Berlin (ca. € 10 million should be available for transfers, hence ... but we'll very likely need around € 15 million) ... and I'm very pleased! ;)

Wow...honestly i didn't think we could pull this one off even this far...this is getting very interesting so far & if it would get confirmed and official, looks like we might have a EURO WORTHY squad this season...and who knows maybe even a mid to high table ranking at the end of season!

A big "BRAVO & THANKS "for max and the entire front office to not let down the best fans in the world :)

ESPN is saying this got done. If so, many congrats to Gladbach. Great team, great coaches and nothing but wishes for great success going forward from a "long-distance" admirer from America.

Having some trouble linking it, but if you have the ability go to ESPN.com Then to Soccernet and read 7/1/12 transfer blog @09.55 BST. France Football the source. Hoping it is accurate-I know you folks were looking to land him.

Gladbach was the team my German uncle told me about as a kid in the 60's & 70's. He had some kind of ties to them himself........it was mostly from him that I learned to love the game. May he R.I.P.

I will check in here from time to time to see how it goes. Keep Favre at all costs, will you? (;))

All the respect to your uncle (May He RIP).He must have been a Die Hard "Borusse"...what a great tradition to pass along from your uncle to yourself !

As for De Jong , unfortunately seems like he is not confirmed and the brits are competing with GLADBACH...i really hope he joins up with us!

Was on some british blog for New Castle...and lots of back and forth regarding De Jong and everybody seemed concerned with lots of info about this transfer...latest seemed like Max Eberl had mentioned another striker and that bringing luuk is not happening:(
If you have time read the posts..the knowledge of these fans about the Bundesliga and GLADBACH is so pityful that i actually had a good laugh which was good for a change...You think these wannabe football players and fans would at least bother to use their keyboards and just runs search about BORUSSIA...Just to learn a bit and know who's bidding for the same player they all want so BAD and maybe they should respect the Bundesliga a bit more:)

I think De Jong is closer to Borussia than anybody, the fee decided was quoted as 11m, little minor details have to ironed out, player negotiations and all that. I think if you even get Guidetti, he might just be a bigger talent than De Jong himself. The reason both Twente couldn't hold him and Newcastle couldn't win him was because Borussia qualified for Champions League. You should be really proud how it is helping you to get top players and that quite rarely a player wants to choose Bundesliga over Premier League.

    Nice to learn.
    May he rest in peace.

    You're always welcome.

Well, that depends mainly on him. Concerning the upcoming & following season, I'm pretty sure that he'll remain our manager.
