    Nepal 0:3 Jordan
    Yemen 1:1 Uzbekistan

So thats Jordan in the finals with either Yemen or Uzbekistan to join. Yemen need to win and hope Jordan effectively destroy Uzbekistan for them.

A really shty host country to hold the games I might add, there are absolutely no TV channels broadcasting any of the group matches. At least when the games in Qatar's group in the U-19 games were held in Doha, there was Al Kass and Al Jazeera broadcasting all the games. Now I have to search through the internet just to see the score. Are there any streams?

Drury why do you have the 2014 AFC U-22 Asian Cup for deletion?

Myanmar is famous for using Gestapo tactics when it comes to controlling the media. They don't want embarrassing incidents getting broadcasted abroad, so they limit tv coverage. It is frustrating for us SEA football fans, whenever they host games as we rarely can get a live feed. Even twitter and facebook messages get censored over there.

The tournament is known as the 2013 AFC Championship on the AFC website, not 2014

Honestly what is wrong with the AFC, they chose the poorest countries to host the group game matches. Laos? Myanmar? Malaysia, Indonesia? lol, I doubt they even have sports channels over there. I hope the actual tournament isn't hosted in some slum in Taiwan, so that we can actually watch the games and receive adequate media coverage.

Taiwan isn't a slum. And even if it was, I am pretty sure players would prefer playing in Taiwan over one of Qatar's sandcastles.

What? I never said Taiwan is a slum. And Qatar's "sandcastles" are probably worth more than your whole country. Don't forget that it is the richest country in the world with one of the largest global sports broadcasting stations situated in it.

I am still wondering, why not India? We have the Cooperage Ground in Mumbai opening again in October (newly revamped), the Fatorda Stadium in Goa is going to undergo a major renovation and be ready for the 2013-14 season. The Salt Lake Stadium would surely get a renovation and more seats at least in the first two tiers because of the U17 World Cup Bid. And we have good stadiums in Sikkim and Shillong (one of the two would be used in the event of India hosting). And of course we have the Nehru Stadium in Delhi which hosted the SAFF Cup and Commonwealth Games.

So that is 5 stadiums in 5 cities that could be used. Should be enough for AFC. Not sure if AIFF is interested but it could be a good way for India to get a head start on the U17 World Cup preparations.

I hate it when neutral countries host qualifiers, the local media doesn't give a rat's tail about the matches. I'm currently living in Malaysia and there has not even been a whisper about the matches being played in their own backyard.

Well, AFC only choose who ever comes forward wanting host. Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar as far as I know do have sports channels.

But don't forget, look at Europe for example, if England play abroad, TV crews go to feed the match back to England. I hope you realise Elspamo that for instance the Qatari group being played in Malaysia, the Malaysian's aren't interested, they won't put it on TV, but Al Kass could quite easily send a crew there to send a feed back.

Okay but why not just simply rename the pages. Why delete them?

If there is a problem on redirect than inform the "WikiProject: Football" and they will do the redirect.

BTW Can you just do me a favor and protect the Prayag United page till 15 July if possible because I am currently blocked from editing till then and people wont stop saying that Carloes Hernandez has signed for them. Cheers.

It's not a surprise when they hardly even post anything about their domestic league.

Look at Saudi media Arab News, they today posted an article about U22 qualifiers on their site, but no news at all of the senior national team playing in Arab Cup, and they won 4:0, surely something worth shouting about but no one picked up a pen (or keyboard) to write about it.

Fureeku - Do you know why this group is hosted in Malaysia?

I'm not deleting, i've requested a move although it does bizarely say speedy deletion!!

Can't move to 2013 cause it was already that before I moved it to 2014 and now want to move it back since AFC are still calling it 2013.

Al Kass are crabby about sending media crews to other countries for the Qatari national teams for some reason. I suppose, if the games were played a more nearby country, like UAE, then they would be questioned why they aren't broadcasting the games, but you can't blame them for not being inclined to travel to Malaysia to broadcast these qualifiers. They posted a detailed article of the match, so they must have a corespondent there.

Forget about the broadcasting of matches for now, is it not strange that AFC selected some of the countries with the least local media influence to host the groups? I guess I just never noticed their strange selection before. Oh well its only qualifying rounds...
