Joselu and Jesé Rodriguez to be included in Witsel deal. Arsenal just offered 12 million for Joselu. So that seems like a great deal for Benfica.

I dont know why, but after Benfica's match against FC Zenit , Cardozo had a bad performance and lost a lot of easy goals. Rodrigo, Yannic, Nelson are enough along with Nolito who can help them. I think if there is good $$$$, he should go.

I agree, but I guess they we're looking for a replacement for Cardozo. And now it seems that Cardozo is likely to stay. Personally, I would love to see Nelson and Rodrigo partnership in the attack and get rid of Cardozo. Plus we have Hugo Vieira, Melgarejo etc as back-ups.
Yea, I just find it weird to LOAD up on strikers when you have Nelo. I really love the kid & want to see him do great things. Just seems like he won't get a chance. Isn't that Ola John dude a striker too?
Ola John is more of a winger, kind of what Varela or Hulk play. Ya as much as I like Cardozo and the service he has given Benfica, I think his boat has sailed here. I would like to see Nelo and Djalo/Rodrigo given more of a chance. I think JJ is worried if he doesn't get a direct replacement for Oscar, Benfica will lose that physical target presence upfront, and some tactical mobility. Joselu, looks like he could be an ideal replacement at 6'3, but I never seen him play before. To be honest I rather just see Nelo develop.
No worries, Benfica has been doing this last couple years and half the strikers they buy get loaned out any ways. I do agree that Nelo needs to start next season but as long as Cardozo is here he won't.

I definitely want to sell Cardozo. Benfica paid a total of 12 million for him, which is what Galatasaray offered, soo we aren't making an profit, but we aren't losing any money either. Considering his age, 28, and how long he's been on the team, I would most certainly sell him at that price. Most fans are sick of him and want to move on and make room for Rodrigo and Nelson to be prime time strikers. Now buying and selling Daniel Wass was absolutely obsured. He never played any game at all for Benfica. What a waste of time. Need to make smart signings and discuss it with JJ because if he doesn't approve, it will be another lost cause and send a load of players on loan. I would think left back. I think I would be a candidate for left back right now. Emerson was awful last year. No speed, not good defensively and no skill offensively. Can someone tell me why they signed him?
