I tried to think of what possible matches we could have fixed then I remember we didnt lose a single match all season
Pescara among clubs docked points By Football Italia staff Newly promoted Pescara will start Serie A on -2 points after they were one of a number of clubs handed penalties as part of the first wave of match fixing betting verdicts. The Italian Football Federation have been holding a sporting enquiry over the last few months and they’ve handed out punishments today. Pescara will thus start the 2012-13 campaign with a two-point penalty. Novara, relegated from the top Division, will begin Serie B with -4. Remaining in the Second Division, Reggina and Padova have been docked four and two points respectively. Empoli will start on -1. In the lower Divisions, Albinoleffe have been hit with a 15 point punishment, Piacenza 11, Ancona eight and Monza five. Sampdoria and Siena have both been fined €500,000. Among the numerous players penalised are Mario Cassano, Alessandro Zamperini, Nicola Santoni and Luigi Sartor. They have all been banned for five years.
Remember kids, if you actually fix a game is -2 points at the start of the next season. If you don't fix any actual games but are tossed into a kangroo court to appease other elements of Italian football you get relegated, stripped of a couple titles, and docked -8 points.
Moggi would've been better off actually fixing matches for gamblers. He probably would've only gotten a slap on the wrist and a hearty pat on the back for a job well done.
Of course Zeman had nothing to do with the Pescara incident. He of course knows who exactly does steroids and cheats. If he knows all these things why doesn't he go back to his high pedestal and tell us what exactly was dirty at Pescara
Actually, did it not start at -39 and end up at -9? Zeman will use his dirty tricks at Roma. He can't let his secrets out.
Didn't you know? It's still Moggi's fault. Just ask Zeman. Actually, you don't even have to ask. He'll tell you unprompted. Constantly and incessantly, non-stop.
Conte betting interview set By Football Italia staff Antonio Conte and Siena President Massimo Mezzaroma will be interviewed in the betting scandal investigation later this month. The Federation has announced the plan for its investigation into the match-fixing and betting scandal, which is also being dealt with by the civil courts. Juventus Coach Conte will be interviewed on July 13 after he was brought into the proceedings by ex-Siena player FilippoCarobbio. Conte, who was in charge of Siena last season in their promotion from Serie B, has declared his innocence. As part of the same investigation, Siena President Mezzaroma will also be interviewed on July 13.
Pescara points deduction dropped By Football Italia staff Pescara are one of a number of clubs to have their original penalty for involvement in the betting scandal reduced upon appeal. An appeals court has today upheld theirs and several other clubs’ appeals against original penalties handed out as a result of prosecutors’ investigations into the ongoing betting and match-fixing scandal to have hit the sport. Pescara were originally handed a two-point deduction to begin their first Serie A season in 20 years with, but that has been reduced to a €30,000 fine. Meanwhile, Novara and Siena have both had four-point deductions reduced to three-point deductions. Lega Pro outfit Albinoleffe have seen their -15 deficit reduced to -9 and Monza from -5 to -4, whilst Reggina will start the 2012-13 Serie B campaign on -3, instead of -4. Franco De Falco and Gianluca Nicco also had bans from the sport and heavy fines reduced.
How does one talk their way out of a points deduction in a match-fixing scandal? "Yeah, I fixed matches, but only a little. Not enough to warrant losing 2 points." What a fucking joke this league is.
If Pescara penalty has been cancelled, it means that appeal court has estabilished that the Abruzzo club is not responsible.
OK, then if they're not responsible, why did they get a €30,000 fine? They don't just fine innocent people...
The translation of that article read like stereo instructions, but the gist was that he would be going to court to defend himself against the match-fixing allegations. It is my great hope that they will find that he had nothing to do with this, but I doubt it.
so what happened with conte?? this whole thing is such bs....all u hear are accusations and then theres no proof on anything. I dont like how its not transparent what happens in the court, what was asked and what was answered.
