Not piling on, but that willems guy ********en sucks for Holland...just looking at his face told you he was out of his element.........nonetheless, Portugal had a great gameplan and executed it to perfection....

So fvcking proud of this team. Let's not think we can relax because we're playing the Czechs. Forca Portugal!

BTW, could anyone clearly read what Ronaldo's shirt said? Something about Father's Day? I saw the junior part.

    Great game!
Everyone played well. Miguel Veloso really stood out for me personally in all games for Portugal but especially today.
I was really worried about this guy coming into this Euro but he has performed well, especially today...brilliant defensively and great passes too.

You deserved to win and azorean is right, Willems is way out of his league. Nani's movement today was exquisite and your MOTM imo.

We cannot have a re-edition of 1996. Remember that goal from Poborský?

Yeah, I noticed that too. They've been pretty harsh on us over the years. Alexi Lalas used to really hammer us as huge underachievers. The guy predicted after our loss to Germany that we would advance. Hopefully, all this praise turns into a winning talisman.

I stand corrected on this squad. I didn't think they would advance after the Germany loss and qualification was just brutal, but the players have heart. What bothers me is that our finishing continues to plague us and that will bite us in the arse against stronger teams with better organized defenses. Kudos to the players and team for advancing out of a really tough group. The Czech game will be tough, but we definitely are favorites. If we continue to improve and stay well organized we might shock Europe and finally win on the big stage, but they need to maintain composure and not choke out there...

Really hard to rank the group, They have all done really well i think.....Patricio scares me a bit though, not that I wish he has had some more action but I kind of wish he had some easy saves to make, the guy has been called upon to do practically nothing yet has allowed 4 goals in 3 games...granted , most, if not all those goals were unstoppable BUT all the same, I just wish the guy could show us, or had the opportunity to show us, he is capable of making the 'key' save...and those corners...ughh, scary stuff......

No way, CR was the man today.
Alves, Veloso, Nani, and Pereira in supporting casting roles :)

If I had to nitpick, I'd say that Postiga had a sub-par game but everyone else was amazing. Even Patricio who kind of looked out of position on one of the corner kicks...thank god De jong didn't hit it right. Montinho, Ronaldo, Nani, and Pepe all played amazing. Pepe is the man of the tournament thus far.

Ronaldo finally silenced the haters....for now. Czech Republic is next...in theory should be a game that we should win. However, you never know with these guys sometimes.

Best Portuguese attacking display ive seen since the Spain game. Lets keep doing it a la Portuguesa!

I think a deserved knock out berth for portugal.
I think you can beat the check Czech team, they are missing a lot of the golden generation they had. It will probably be 2-0 or 3-1.

If the cards all fall into play however, you will face spain in the semis..... Thats going to be the challenge.

If we can beat greece, we will most likely face, Italy/France/England.. So who knows what happens in that game..

But one game at a time right ;)

so let me gets this straight, if Ronny or Fabio were to get yellow in czech game, and portugal were to actually win the game, they would still be available in the semis? is that right?

Ive been really impressed with Veloso these last few games. He has got stuck in and his passing has been exquisite. That ball from Pareira WTF?!!! Dare I say it - Messi-like. Man of the match for me was Nani. His first touches, passing, runs, sprints and tracking back to help Pareira was nothing short of amazing. I shudder to think where we would be without him. Well done to Ronnie for keeping his cool and finishing the goals.

I don't know how much more of Meireles i can take. Enough is enough. He's never going to find his form, we have better options available for his spot. We should probably do it before it's too late.
