Here is who i would replace on the blast roster ( Lmk your choices ) Scott Buete Replace with Nelson Santana Ptah Myers -- Replace with Enrique Tovar Warren Ukah Replace with Ian Bennett Carlos Garcia Replace With Nicki Paterson Full time ( garcia has already retired ) recardino Replace with brayton Napp Try to sign any one of these players Slavisa Ubiparapovic , Andrew Hoxie ,Jeffery Hughes , DENISION CABRAL bring back the rest of the team , yes even pat healy he did well as a defender last year if baltimore can make any 3 of the players I listed appear on the blast roster i think we would have a great shot at winning it all next year . Now when sagu retires there is only 1 choice for goal keeper to replace sagu's talent in the net and that is Marcell Feensta what I do expect is Kevin Healy Will find some kid who will surprise us all and become rookie of the year or who will become one heck of a player the team is loaded with young talent , Nicki Paterson , Jt Noone , Mike Diesel , Steven Deroux , make sure that Lucio Gonzaga is healty enough to play the entire seasion he was one of the key players we realy missed on the feild last year

Has Buete ever scored a goal? He has to have an indoor soccer record for futility.

I could never figure out what his role was and why he has been on the team so long.

He scored 3 in 2007-2008 (one of them might have been in a TV game). But none in his 44 games since the start of the 2009-2010 season.

I doubt Milwaukee would let him walk from the team, but he would be a good pickup for the Blast down the line when/if Sagu retires. I know he keeps saying it, but it seems like every year he plays the same amount of time, if not more. In fact, he played more minutes this season than he did last season.

Hovaker... what happened with him? He was a pretty decent keeper... I was surprised a new team like Norfolk didn't pick him up at the begining of the season...

    I agree.

Another player the Blast should think about coaxing back is Ryan Pierce. He did well with Syracuse team last year.

they need to do something is they want to win , because last years team just could not get the job done I also think they need to look at the coaching staff and make changes , Kareem Mouban realy is a waste of money if you as me how many games did he realy play in ? while in a blast uniform

How many games Karim played for Baltimore has NOTHING to do with the quality of goalkeeper coach he is. Some of the most successful coaches in the world of sport were not the most talented players. Some yes, but many no. So it's ridiculous to think that he does not add value as a coach because you question how many games he really played in. You know how many 'official' games I played in while with the Wave for 4 years? None. Zero. My only games were preseason or exhibition. But that didn't stop me from becoming a pretty decent keeper coach. It's less about playing the game, and more about understanding the game. Sagu is a great goalkeeper. And I am sure Karim has helped him get to, and stay at, the top of his game. Baltimore and Milwaukee are pretty much the only two teams with regular keeper coaches on their staff. And where have both of those teams been, consistently? And where have their keepers ranked, consistently? Karim is worth even cent they pay him. And I am sure it isn't much. So please dont think you know the arrangements with keeper coaches in this league. You'd be surprised...

I don't know if the Blast should get rid of Karim Moumban or not. Sagu is definitley a veteran player who "knows his stuff" but I do see him still talking with Karim during the games and it seems as if he is giving Sagu advice. The league is so small and the season is short (compared to the days they were playing 36-40 games a season) that it almost seems non-sensical to have a goalkeeper coach. In fact, Sagu said he watches all the footage on youtube/MISLlive to remember tendencies for each of the team's main scorers. by heart However, it does help to have a different perspective on the bench giving "tips" during the break, if needed. I don't know... maybe if the team was really losing money and I were the GM, I might give him the hint of retiring..

I think its a waste of money , Karim is a real nice guy dont get me wrong for years the MISL never needed a goal keeper coach and I dont think its needed now the money can be used to get better players thats my point . I have his goal keeper jersey that is why i wanted to know who many games he played it in a blast uniform

what the blast need to do is stop having players like nicki paters just sit on the bench Nicki has scored 4 game winning goals with the charlston battery this year . he played in 3 games in a blast uniform and scored 2 gaols and had 2 assist , he spent less then 3 mins on the floor in these games Instead Look at the championship game tape in over time on the restart goal before the ball was kick Pat healy moved out of the way and in the net it went and blast loose the 2nd championship to the wave the game tapes do not lie

Not to take anything away from Nicki Patterson, who seems like a great guy, but all of his points came in two games against Norfolk, both blowouts, one win, one loss. In your first post, you advocate cutting Warren Ukah loose, who, if you applied the same standard you applied to Nicki Patterson, should stay since he had 13 points in 11 games. Watching Nicki Patterson last year, when you see his movements away from the ball you can tell he is still adjusting to the indoor game. Much of the time he was dependent on other players on the team to get him in position, a bit more so than I would have thought since he had been practicing with the team all season. As far as the championship game is concerned, anytime it goes to sudden death, the game is going to be decided on a mistake. To try to pin the outcome on Pat Healey is either unfair or stupid, or both. All players on both teams left everything on the field that day. The Wave was just a deeper, more talented team who had more left in the tank at the end because of their depth of talent and the fact that they did not have to play the second game in a win at all cost fashion. Sometimes a team actually does go as far as their talent will allow and no further, in my opinion, that is what happened to the Blast.

you really must not understand the game. Pat Healy THREW his body at the ball. He went for the block, like a good defender should. Hammes hit the ball high, and over Healy's attempt at blocking. Hammes hits that ball low and Healy blocks the shot, he is a hero. To say he "moved out of the way" is absolutely ridiculous. Pat Healy has turned into a great two way defender. We have him on the US National Futsal team right now, and most likely he will be with us through CONCACAF qualifiers and the World Cup. He's hard working, he had a great work ethic and I feel has a bright future in this league. You cycle through this "who should go, who should stay" every off season. And the majority of your suggestions and "predictions" are shockingly bad. Are you ever going to have something good to say about the Blast?

1 thing is nicki patterson did not play because he was a replacement for carlos garcia , Nicki also pulled his grion in case u guys did not know this , but if you realy want to get on a pat healy kick we can if you look at the 3 pont goal given up to anti cop pat healy move out of the way . this year I agree with you 100% for the most part Pat healy did a great job filling in as a defender as for the wave I honestly think this years team was the best team no question about that at all .

you may think its bad who i feel should go but look who i want to replace them with the reasion the blast last last year is because our defense lacked we had 3 defenders , Lookingland , Healy , Deroux . Just because hes on the futsal team does not make healy a great player IMO . Pat is a hard worker I will give you that he does not give up , Pat needs to be in the box to clean up the trash goals that is what he is good at doing I just dont like his style of play As for the team its self for a team rebuliding we did great last year ,

You have some valid points Lewis.

The Blast do need to pickup some more quality defenders. Even with Sagu in goal, they should provide him with some backup. If the Blast had the Wave's defense I think Sagu's save percentage and points allowed average would look much better.

The Blast looked a lot slower this year (with the exception of DeRoux) even though they had a lot more "fresher" feet.

I like Deroux , the only issue i have with him is he always seems to make Major fouls in front of the ref and gets sent to the box , buy i think he is a future all star player

If I had to guess, I would say it's because his family has a lot of season tickets. They comprise half of Section 109.
