O-tay. That is one way to look at things, and the Obama campaign is off to a rocket start also. She's been a disaster in what should have been an easy take back because she speak with forked tongue.
Did anyone believe Scott Brown was doing anything other than keeping Ted's seat warm until the next Mass. liberal could be anointed? For whatever reason Fauxahontas can’t seem to close the deal. I believe her embarrassingly inept yet extremely entertaining explanation of how she came to be the Harvard Law School’s "woman of color" might have something to do with that.
I was concerned more about your desire to end a sentence with an adverb and your desire to use the wrong version of "speak/speaks" in the second sentence.
See, he forgot to put "heap big" in front of "forked tongue" and so you misunderstood his clever satiric allusion to what he perceives as Warren's claim to AA preference due to NDN ancestry, which in his eyes invalidates her entire candidacy and will result in her ignominious defeat, which he is gloating over several months before the fact. Keep in mind that you have to be able to translate yourself into his world in order to understand his references...
Apparently, Elizabeth Warren's claim of 1/32nd American Indian ancestry is invalid to VFish because she doesn't live on the rez and talk like Tonto.
Elizabeth Warren can claim 1/32rd of any heritage she likes, but if she is making claims to advance a career is it too much to ask that she do a little paperwork and have the historical courtesy of knowing which tribe her Papaw was a member of? Especially considering Harvard was touting her as proof of the law schools diversity. Apparently it is.
I only want papers only when politicians get caught in obvious and ridiculously embarrassing lies. So what is it with you and your defense of the indefensible? I’d think you’d be embarrassed by this kind of shameless abuse. The Cherokees aren’t amused.
This time last year Scott Brown was invincible with 60%+ approval, and 12 months later he's in the dogfight of his life so he attacks his opponent for not being a real American. Damn, things change fast.
I believe Barack Obama was born in Hawaii. I've never claimed otherwise. Now if he checked the box that says he was a "Native American" I'd like to see some paperwork, but IF Barry gamed the system he came at it from a totally different angle.
No one is attacking Elizabeth Warren for not being a real American. They are rightfully pointing out she is a real, white bread American without 1/32nd of a drop of Native American blood. In other words she is a liar and a fraud and therefore would make an excellent liberal Senator from Massachusetts.
God forbid an election be about anything meaningful, for example the carried interest law that leads to Mitt Romney's tax rate being lower than mine. (And likely your rate as well, unless you are a student.) http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/...self-native-american-employers-150158503.html
So "Dances around the truth" finally admits to being a liar. Not sure how her confession effects my tax rate.
I am planning on applying to the Harvard Lore School as a Cherokee... I base my claim on family folklore, high cheekbones, and this pic of my grand Pawpaw: [/img]
Whether you believe there is any validity to this brouhaha or not, it has damaged Warren. Any Democrat polling less than 50% in this state is vulnerable.
If she gets elected to the Senate it might. Especially since no one on the left seems to be willing to call her out for what she is... an opportunistic liar. I guess the logic is she’ll be sitting next to Senator Kerry and in “Ted Kennedy’s seat” so who’ll notice?
You're not telling the truth. Whether that's because you're dishonest or because you're stupid, you can choose. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2012/06/pay_attention_to_the_numbers.php?ref=fpblg What the hell???? Any candidate polling under 50% in any state is vulnerable. You wrote possibly the most meaningless thing in the history of the internet.
Let me know when the right starts calling out their own as "opportunistic liars" when it becomes clear that one of them has made up a biographical detail or when one pretends to be morally upright when they're actually deeply closeted serial adulterers.
Debate #1... Brown: You lied about your heritage on a college. Why should the people of MA trust you, given this damning demonstration of your character?! Warren: I made a mistake out of ignorance decades again. That mistake has been confirmed to not have given me any advantage. But let's talk about character, Scott... what does it say about your character that you literally handed Wall Street $19 billion with your very first vote in the Senate? $19 billion that the voters must now make up.
